weathafella
Still warm. only modest rain overnight......most JUST in from the coast got a deluge. NAM seems to have done a nice job. BTV up through the Adirondacks and over to far northern ME getting buried.
kwt
Front literally just made it through here last night, 37.4F. Just miles to my South and SE its in the lower 50s. Dont think I have ever seen a temperature contrast this dramatic across the area here. The thermal Gradient is pretty good with this system, the switch over was pretty rapid from rain to snow in the central parts of this region. powderfreak
14" overnight. Sweet jesus. Roads are barely passable in 4-wheel drive. Over a foot of concrete and it is snowing 2"/hr right now... just unloading over us.
moneypitmike
2.56". 31.9/30. Schools are delayed two hours, so I guess there's some ice here in the district. I'm not sure how much could be in mby with these temps.
kwt
Yep CC, looks like mainly 12-15 inches but there will no doubt be some reports above that range as well, esp by the time everything is finally done in the next 6hrs or so.

powderfreak
This is just filthy... it is ripping and ratios have gotten a lot better. We could pick up another 4-8" today.

moneypitmike
Well--I guess we can see where the front made it to. Snow cover has remained in tact here--can't say the same about depth. Did anyone in the warm area retain any cover?
Damage In Tolland
The front setup literally 1 mile or so to my west... I've never seen that happen before. It's still 47 here
kwt
That map above shows very well just how tight the thermal gradient actually was in places, very impressive!
dendrite
The temp graphs for some of those stations near the boundary are pretty cool. A lot of ups and downs where the front wavered north and south.
moneypitmike
The front setup literally 1 mile or so to my west... I've never seen that happen before. It's still 47 here Fun when that happens. Doesn't mean diddly either It was either what you got or a colder version of the rain. What was the total qpf that way? While the snow cover persisted, it's still a disaster. All the sticks and branches thad had blown down during the winter and got buried at various point from the snows have all emerged. I hope my trip to Maine doesn't happen this weekend so I can start burning--or at least assembling what will be series of infernos. Kevin--are you going to fire up the lawn thread? Damage In Tolland
It's literally bisecting part of Tolland now. Western part of town is into the 30's Me in the North central area still upper 40's and fog..SE section is still 50+ ..Insane

MaineJayhawk
2.30" of rain has fallen here. Snowpack is still a robust 26". The 1.3" of sleet that fell last week put on a nice impenetrable hide I guess.

The 1.3" of sleet that fell last week put on a nice impenetrable hide I guess. That pack is a LOT better than here. I'm eye-balling what looks to be 8-12" for the most part with much higher amounts in the areas that are drift-prone and much less where they plowed the lawn for easier access to sap buckets. 31.9/

moneypitmike
I enjoyed the 'robo-call' from the school this morning. It sounded like a post on AmWx: "due to icy conditions in our higher elevations, school's will be delayed two hours today". Sounds lik
moneypitmike
Still got snowcover here in Andover. This was kind of what I envisioned for Kevin. What was the before/after depth? Signifcant loss of depth here if there's only 8-12 remaining.
CoastalWx
What was the before/after depth? Signifcant loss of depth here if there's only 8-12 remaining. Well it's kind of dark so tough to tell, but still some snow in the woods and people's yards. We didn't have quite the rain here though. Maybe a little over an inch? I past the front on my way in. It was 56F about 2 miles to the south over I-93/495, but 44 when I pulled into work. Looks like the front busted north again. Winds were pretty nuts when I left home. It had that distinct roar.
