Mr Torchey
Greatest pressure falls as of 21z are off the Delmarva coast. I was just looking at spc meso analysis. I had 1 ft+ greens 3-6+ in the berks and 1-3 intererior nw ct and western mass into southern NH. Looks like this might have to be adjusted se, some suprises for those near and above 1k. ineedsnow
im down to about 5 to 10 inches depending on where you measure this fog and rain is just eatting away at it Well we both still have a good amount of snow on the ground so I think both of our areas should see similar flooding, but I don't know about "epic". Mr Torchey
state college ripping snow snowing in williamsport, snow line has progressed nicely to the east across the norther tier of pa Certainly should be an interesting night for some, and worrisome for most. IF that were to occur, I think this woul dbe an epic bust. Here's the AFD: AS MENTIONED ABOVE...THERE MAY BE A BRIEF PERIOD OF MIXED WINTRY PRECIP IN THE NORTHWESTERN ZONES EARLY MONDAY BUT THIS WILL OCCUR AS PRECIPITATION IS TAPERING OFF. A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THIS POSSIBILITY. Heavy rain.
CoastalWx
It was surprising to me they were low this AM, Walt Drag special, enjoy. Yeah they are gonna get hit hard. That area near and just se of BTV in the highlands, up through extreme nrn NH and near CAR will get crushed. I think the BTV area gets right under the deformation/comma head area. I notice ALB has now expanded their Winter Storm Warning SE , they've upped snow totals in the PSF area to 2-4", Hoping the trend continues SE. Magic MTN. should see a 6-12" snowfall as well. Snowpack in MBY has taken a hit but, as usual, Kevin's brown grass prediction is laughable. Not even close. Hope to return home tomorrow night to a little fresh white. DomNH
Looks like the GFS agrees with the NAM for somewhere in the vicinity of 3'' of rain for most. I know this won't even be in the same stratosphere as the Mother's Day '06 floods...but will the 3'' of rain and rapid snow melt lead to something like last March's flooding? It could stall right over ORH county for a time. Maybe the nrn and nw slopes this time around have a better chance of icing, than the normal eastern slopes. CoastalWx
never seen this Light Rain Shallow Fog MIFG is the code for shallow fog. Might be a case where the warmer air going over the snowpack is causing a shallow layer of fog close to the ground.
wxmanmitch
Low-level cold air drain has just commenced here in Lenox. Dropped 3 degrees in the last 20 minutes with a very light N wind. Based on what's happening just N and W of me, I should drop quite a bit here in the next 2 hours or so.
