cpickett79
that 3.89 X is right over MGR house. cold air trickling down the greens and appears to be in pockets now on the N parts of the berkshire's west slope. should be ticking down fast in stratton mtn over the next hour as well. the Lenox obs will be interesting! if someone ticks down into the upper 20's tonite their could be an icing problem i would think. praying wa wa can tick down into mid 30's great battle zone in SE PA with 30 on one side and near 60 on the other. DomNH
Nashua River is going to be running pretty high I think if we get 3-4'' of rain combined with the massive amount of snow melt. Should be some flooding in areas with decent snow on the ground still.
wxmanmitch
Still nearly calm winds. Cold front seems to be getting hung up more as low tracks up from south. PSF still had a light S wind last check, so it's not quite here.
mattb65
NAM is hitting the precip even harder this run... Quite the QPF gradient from BOS to ORH - didn't really shift the heaviest stuff east much.

Organizing Low
LOL at yesterday's NAM runs that tracked this low up way into the interior and showing Buffalo to Syracuse and Watertown getting over 2 feet. Some people were saying the NAM could be right because of the convective processes but once again, we see that it is just an inferior model. GFS nailed this the past couple days, IMO. Actually I think the UKMET had the best solution (it was the furthest SE yesterday) and looks like its SE solution with a track over eastern SNE (BOS) will be correct. Those poor folks in Buffalo and western NY that were looking at almost 2" of QPF on yesterday's NAM runs... not sure who would take the NAM seriously when the GFS/Euro/Ukie were all well east for a few days. ineedsnow
could be epic.. once the heavier rains get in here expect sharp rises on rivers almost an inch of qpf already and another 3 or 4 on top of that would be major..
