Feels like a big rain event with some scrap 1/4" snows somewhere on the north side like we got with the last storm.. Only thing going for the GFS is a LAF member started the thread and a storm is due to bring heavy rains up this way. This skirting SE BS will only last so long before one cuts over me or near.

Seems we have 3 events to track... after that who knows what the future will bring. Shame the active nina pattern had to come so late.

That burns. I'm liking your locale for some snow though. Heavy rains stay farther south, you'll be safe from that BS...it won't cut over your head or close.

May of 2004 redo? :) My grandmother has pictures of whole trees floating down the St. Clair River from that month.

My last few days of my senior year were cancelled, I live/lived on 21 mile up on a slight hill and down near the bridge was completely flooded. Almost every mile road up our way was closed 21,22,23,24. I was working at the golf course (sycamore hills) as the water was coming up we had to evacuate the course because half of the golfers were going to be cut off from being able to get back to the clubhouse because the river came up so fast all of our bridges were going under water.

ok, I'm curious. :)

I work in the golf industry and one of LAF's busiest golf courses borders the Wabash River. When it floods, and it seems like it's happened too many times in the recent past, it'll will be shut down for at least 2 months. That takes us to late April/early May at the earliest. Loss of $$$ in an industry that's struggling is not good for me personally. But like I said, unfortunately I'm at the mercy of Ma Nature.

GFS is on its own it seems.. I could see this playing out like the last storm pretty much.. great if you like rain.. just a lame wave not being able to wrap any precip in to the cold side. Next one down the pipe has me thinking rain here and congrats MSP.

Yeah I remember watching on tv, with them showing fish swimming up North Ave. Quite surreal when you think about it.

I remember that well. I couldn't even get home as I was coming home from pine valley golf course. I had to drive 10 miles out of the way. Partridge creek is no longer there on Romeo plank but it used to flood bad there and it was over Romeo plank. Same with bud park on Clinton River road Floods bad north of 59. I have my fishing boat on stand by.

I see what you're saying, but it's not like the Euro has been stellar with backside snow lately. It was pretty crappy with the storm before last for here (too warm). I think there'll be snow on the backside with this one, probably won't be a super wide area, but there'll be some. Like I said, I'd lean towards your area being in the snow zone right now, but taking any model at face value right now is risky. Tis the the time of year for "wide" swings as we transition into spring.

Well, good news is that the GGEM is printing out what looks like 1 in 25 years type epic, widespread flood event. So odds are in your favor. But from the cursory knowledge I have of your situation, it's not going to take a ton of rain to cause problems. :(

Yeah the "end of times" GGEM scenario probably won't verify, but 1-2" is enough to continue the problems. I'll manage (or my business will get by), but I do feel bad for those south and east of here that are having their personal lives disrupted by the current flooding, which looks like it could get worse in the near future. Ah, but that's weather I guess. Tough break for some. Hopefully things get better for them sooner rather than later.

I just don't think there is much to see up here.. gonna need a storm that at least cuts some (like gfs) to bring in a NE wind and precip... This will probably just be a skirter south with waa rain storm imo at the moment... maybe it can do something to bring some back end snows to area's of MI and up in to canada.

Yeah unfortunately from what WeatherPimp has shown down in OH, it is already bad, and IN isn't much different :(
