dendrite
Pretty far out on the Cape, look like mountain waves like you said, cool stuff Could be a little kelvin-helmholtz influence too...you have two layers of different densities interacting aloft with wind shear...the moist east flow in the low levels and then the dry, stronger westerly flow aloft. CoastalWx
Scooter..how far SW will that boundary get today? I don't think it gets too far sw of ORH. It might eek over the hills towards you later on, but it's not one of those things where the cold flies sw. It's an odd setup. It might cool off by late aftn if winds turn ne for you. weatherMA
Yeah we've actually had a pretty decent February here. You'll catch right back up...possibly as early as tomorrow? We'll see I guess. Tomorrow looks like mostly rain, but I just want one more 6"+ storm in March. Even though I'm over 20" for February that's from four 2-4" type events, only one event over 6". Organizing Low
IMBY 16-19 OTG 2.9" is the final here. A bit disappointing as I admittedly had visions of 5 or 6" dancing in my head last night. Alas, that nice dump took a south shimmy overnight. Still, not a bad deal as we have a 34" snowpack up here ... for now. nice pics from the south and the north!
