DavisStraight
Nice! We need a cranking nor'easter with SN+ before this winter is done, just one more. What do you think of that storm next week?
codfishsnowman
I'm back in The Valley today...first time since before the early February storm. I'm honestly surprised at how much snow is on the ground. I've only seen this much snow on the ground around here maybe a handful of times in my life, nevermind in late February after a decent amount of melting. we peaked out with a maximum snow depth of around 30 inches feb 2 right before the changeover from heavy snow to ip...deepest snow i had ever seen on the level.. 40/70 Benchmark
RUC and HRRR not picking up on this at all. Definitely a case of a weak and ill-defined system. Likely a bust in northern NH. Southern NH should still make out fine as we get redevelopment off the coast later tonight HRRR gave me 3" pre flip in the last event and I got .5"...who cares what it implies. Similar to here. I haven't gone out and measured yet, but it looks like between 1 and 2 inches. The snow growth is amazing.

ORH_wxman
Conditions are optimal for very good ratios...temps in the 20s (except on the immediate coast line) with insanely good snow growth and almost no wind...the feather dendrites are falling almost straight down. ORH_wxman
The fact that this is nocturnal helps, too....it's that time of year. This is really the first typical 2-5" clipper system we've had all winter. Hard to believe. Usually in a big snow winter we'll have several of them and even a couple during the crap winters.
