Any chance that map verifies MAG?

I"m pessimistic about the southern half of that map, in locations like AOO and UNV and the ridge and valley region underneath Centre County. I think alot of that's banking on the second round of precip Wed Night. I think generally accumulations of up to an inch or so total might be the rule vs the widespread 1-3 inches and even 3-6 near UNV.

Interestingly, the snowmap technically would likely warrant warnings for all of Clinton and southern Lycoming counties and probably advisories for an extra tier or 2 of counties southwest of the current placement. I still think IPT itself will have more of a 3-5 type event, with the warning totals in the mountains just north/northeast. Def nothing to sneeze at for late March either way. I like the actual advisory/warning placement right now. The map is def leaning on a colder and wet solution, and since IPT started off as straight up snow it may work out. I'm actually more concerned about broken QPF cutting snowfall totals than the cold air itself. We shall see how radar trends and HRRR runs pan out. Sidenote, I see UNV is down to 33.. The folks around there might start seeing some mixing when better precip arrives.

Already mixing with sleet, actually.

I find it hard to believe we see 6" at this point.

The BGM map has Hazelton slated for a whopping 8.9" currently with the W-B/Scranton area a general 9-12". I wouldn't be too worried about the early mixing yet. What's your elevation?

Sleet - Sleet - Sleet

Don't you just hate it, very annoying thats for sure. Hopefully you guys cash in with the next storm later this weekend. I'm hoping for at least one more snow trheat for my PA friends lol or I guess for those that still want it considering we have been spoiled with nice weather lately.

Snowing right now, not sure of accumulation.

Temp 30 exactly, hope we can keep it below 35 tomorrow.

Sleeping time now.

we have just about 3 inches now and the roads are covered. I think have been hearing thunder but I cannot confirm. local media stated that we would have 1 to 3 inches by midnight wednesday.

back to bed...
