hckyplayer8
Down to 37F. While tending the coal stove, I glanced back at the mountain and could see a rather intense rate of precip falling. With the incredibly gusty winds, not completely sure what the P-type was.
NortheastPAWx
That burst of snow quickly re-whitened things here. Snowholes left from the rain quickly got filled.

canderson
No rain whatsoever today in Harrisburg and the sun is currently out. WTF happened to our flood watch? The wind warning though? Verified when WITF's sign got ripped off the tower in front of our building.

JamieOber
The trees on the top 2/3 of the ridge are covered in ice. The drive over Skytop on the old route was surreal and beautiful. The trees have a solid covering of ice on them.
afvet89
I thought for sure we'd lose more snow here than we did. It's compressed down, but the grass is still covered in 95% of the areas I saw. Helped that we held between 32-34° for the entire event. Yep , same here. I am really surprised as well at how much snow we still have on the ground. I figured it would all be gone or close to it. Oh well, Im sure by tuesday it will be gone. Looks like we still have a compacted 4 inches or so on the ground now.
jen2swt
The only snow piles left here were the 30 footers in the store parking lots. They are probably down to 15 now....no snow whatsoever left on the grasses around here...things look so brown/dead/and just yucky!

canderson
Got no rain yesterday, today's sunny and 44. Snow's gone except parking lot piles and they're on their dying legs. Bring on spring, and bring on Senators baseball games.
Santa Clause
We have 5.7" still on the ground here....should get ugly monday...I hear up north some of the headwaters still have 10+" on the ground.
canderson
Yeah, flooding might be a serious concern north. Here except for flash floods with heavy rain flooding won't be a concern at all. The river's I believe under 5' now.

The Iceman
The 00z NAM has a butt load of rain for southern PA on Monday! can't believe flood watches aren't up yet...there's going to be creak and small river flooding for sure after this...the main rivers though should be fine because it's not falling that heavy upstream where the snow pack is. Watching for that severe wx tomorrow. the nams storm track is pretty much perfect for severe weather tomorrow.

The Iceman
just looking at forecast soundings for tomorrow it looks pretty good around southern PA for a severe weather threat...especially for february.
The Iceman
I issued some. lol Here is what I have on our site. i would of pushed the 30% up a little bit but overall i agree with what you posted. if this thing was only like a few hours later, the threat could really be special because we'd get some CAPE. still the mixing will be strong enough to overcome that. The Iceman
new NAM cuts the precip wayyyy back...only .25-.5" and pretty much all of that is from the line of showers/storms that comes through. the NMM shows the storms pretty much staying to our south as well...by 00z we'll have a better idea though.
