Updated Harrisburg hydrograph. Still climbing as of Sat AM. Not sure what the typical crest lag time is for the Susquehanna. Obviously there's a lot of factors but wouldn't think it would be much beyond 48 hours after precip end time. It just may scrape major stage.

The cat scan showed blood and fluid around my lung. Going into surgery tonight.

The Central PA Weather Board has issued a GET WELL SOON ADVISORY for the following:

WHO: EasternUSWX

WHEN: Now continuing until further notice

Regional cat scan echos have indicated possible areas of concern in the Advisory area. All interested persons are requested to keep this area in their thoughts and prayers until such time as deemed appropriate.

 post of the year for creativity! ^^ - Festus

From HEAD FORECASTER Dr. Sympathy,

LONG RANGE: All indications from our LUV and CHEERRR models point towards an approaching recovery frontal system that will be accompanied by heavy tears of joy from the GRATITUDEUS clouds. Once the system passes, the EasternUSWX will be bright with ample energy for future activity. Get will soon!

Here's the above referenced major flood forecast for the Susquehanna at Wilkes-barre. Thru the roof pretty much..

Not good that the focus of the highest and most likely fastest falling QPF is on Eastern PA and the whole Susquehanna Valley. For the rest of central PA most points seem to be forecast to hit either a high caution or minor, though I would bank on widespread minor to scattered moderate.

Usually 2-3 days depending on snow melt. How much snow melt happens upstate and even the basin in southern NY will make a difference. At least it not getting real warm up there so it may be a slow melt. If it is a fast melt watch out.

It's showing between 1.75" and 2.5" for all of Central PA.

Thanks Brian!

Harrisburg has just banned City Island parking Friday and is warning folks along the river and in Shipoke to move stuff out.

I hope the Susquehanna stays below 19" - anything more becomes a major issue. Less us just street and lot flooding mostly.

It showing it cresting over 20'

Yea, saw that. Fear it gets to 22".

We still have a lot of snow pack around, especially on the shady side of the hills. I'm somewhat worried with the combination of the snow pack and the rain. Plus the fact that the river is still 10' here. That there could be some flooding.

My one son lives in the flood zone so I kind of worry about him.

It looks like the models are showing we could get from 1.75 to over 4" of rain. gfs showing the highest amount. If we could stay around 2" that wouldn't be to bad.

It also will be interesting to see how fast the waters are rising tomorrow night.

Be interested in hearing other thoughts on this.
