I'm in south Wilkes-Barre...a few blocks from Hanover Township. I'm closer to Meyers HS/W-B Memorial Stadium.

If we keep this up and pull off 6", the credit goes to the short-term models...the RRs nailed this.

We heard the same thunder,

Schools are starting to close....

I suspect most of the schools will close today. it is quite bad.

We had rain all day yesterday, but the wind was just crazy. About 10pm i went to let the dog out and the ground was completly white. At midnight, it looked like a full out blizzard. It was hard to measure because of the wind, but at home in Cumberland county i would say 3 1/2 - 4". Here at work in Dauphin county i measured between 2 1/2 -3". I have heard reports from northern Perry county and Juniata Counties of 8-9". A coworker who live in Southern Perry County said he had 5 1/2"

I saw a car coming down 322 from up north and it easily had 10-12" on the roof!

looks like a general 7-9 inches in this town. What a surprise. I still cant believe we got this much snow. Going into the weekend it looked like just alot of rain. The last month has been awesome here with a couple of very nice snows that were both basically surprises. I have measured around 40 inches this yr, give or take an inch and that is just awesome. Been a long time since I've seen 40 up here.

Wow, that's awesome Jon! Must have been a very sharp gradient last night. We have next to nothing here, and I'm only about 11 miles south of the Dauphin county line.

I also want to add that I had a rather harrowing experience last night that was weather related. Coming home from the 76ers game, I was driving south on I95 near Chester in the left lane doing about 60MPH. A truck driving northbound in his left lane sent a wall of water over the median (it was absolutely dumping rain at the time) and down on my windshield. The force of the water broke BOTH of my windshield wiper blades. For several seconds I couldn't see anything. Both wipers were completely inoperable. For those that are familiar at all with that area, Rt.#322 west was the 2nd exit from where I was. Fortunately, the water continued to run down the windshield just enough that I could continue to my exit where there is a Walmart about a mile and a half up the road. Got the new blades and were on our way in just a few minutes, but some very tense moments up until then...

For those wondering why I didn't stop...my instinct told me that if I had I wouldn't be here this morning. There was a lot of traffic at the time, and I feel certain that the tractor trailer that was behind me on 95 at the time wasn't going to be able to stop.

Yeah, one heck of a gradient i guess. When it first started, i bet we had to have a 1/2" in like 15 minutes, honestly! I had just taken out the recycles and came back in. Sat down and watched the movie we were watching until the next commercial when i went to put the dog out and we had that much snow that quick.

I just read your experience from last night, wow! That same thing happened to me many years ago, but it was from snow from a state plow. But i wasn't going as fast as you, nor was i on a major highway with a lot of traffic. Glad everything worked out ok for you.

Wow...snow even down in Greencastle! You we're the man last night....have all my friends on you're website now! Btw...what is you're thinking wed-thurs....flooding could be bad if the melt is enough.

Thanks thumbsupsmileyanim.gif . Ya 1.5" here. I was calling C-2" so that worked out.

As for the next storm am thinking another 1-2" of rain is not out of the question. Have new disco up on the site. More details on the storm tomorrow. Will break it down.

Congrats to all north and west. As Maytown already pointed out, pretty much bupkiss here in Lancaster in terms of accumulation. Backs roads were a bit tricky this AM however as a little glaze had formed in spots. Saw one car in a field that apparently hadn't figured that out.

As for the breaking wiper blades incident - oye! Glad you're OK. Maybe try Rain-X? I swear by the stuff. It's great driving in heavy rain without having your wipers on at all. Plus nothing sticks - not ice, mud, pollen, etc. - pretty much anything that can impede your vision just blows away with one pass of the viper.

Thursday is looking like another bout 'o downpour. Reading CTP's Hydrology section this morning, they're saying 1" - 2" of rain is likely. And I have a golf tournament on Sunday. Looks like a mud ball special if the course is even open.

Now the flooding situation gets very interesting for later this week. The Susquehanna is forecast to hit 22' later today...and of course now we have fresh snowpack once again. The river will drop a few feet but then...this could get interesting, and not in a good way.

That's what the NAM is suggesting.

And like a crazy drunk bastard at a Vegas blackjack table and an 18 showing, for UNV it didn't back off - it said hit me bitches.

Upped my snow totals to 9.5 as per Cobb Table from 7.1.

And the NAM gets a 3.

As he is walking away with the GFS's, Canadian's, European's, etc.'s money, and their girlfriends, he says with an obnoxious laugh:

"Thanks for the great evening, fellas."
