I don't usually rip them, but with 7.6 on the ground, I am wondering where the winter storm warning was for this. Agree with jm1220.

Welp the back edge has stopped dead at the moment and actually backtracked/rebuilt a lil bit.. so guess the snow is going to continue a lil bit longer haha.

Just took my final measurement of the night. Temp has finally dropped below freezing about 15 minutes ago....down to 31.9 degrees. Snowing moderately with windy conditions. Accumulating everywhere. Up to 1.1" of snow. Looking at radar we could get at least another 1/2 inch I estimate. Radar shows western edge not in too much of a hurry to pass east of here....perhaps another 1 to 2 hours of precip?? Maybe we'll reach 2"?? :weight_lift:

I'll have my final measurements out in the morning. Have a good night all....

Def thinking that CTP probably should've taken the opportunity mid-evening to upgrade centre, southern clinton/lycoming, and probably at least a tier of those northern susquehanna valley advisories to warnings given the radar. Just an absolute pounding this storm has delivered. The Seven Mountains area of rt 322 and eastern Centre as a whole is under a sizeable region of 30+dbz which is likely 1-2"/hr stuff. Would not be surprised to see someone between there and ipt see a foot of snow at this point. NAM FTW!

Just sent in the storm total for here - 4.6".. State College makin up ground from the last big snowfall where the heaviest stayed to the south. Seen some newer reports of 7" in the Park Forest part of State College and also in Lemont. These totals are as of 10:15p and 11:30p respectively.

I left State College around midnight and there was between about 5.5" and 6", but it was still snowing hard. The snow actually seemed to be getting fluffier - there was a lot of blowing and drifting of the snow.

It's like a different world in Altoona. All of the roads and parking lots are clear -- looks like a lot less snow here in town than even just to the north.

That's funny how that's the other way around this go around. This has been a very impressive and high impacting storm with the mess on I-80 and the numerous accidents, etc that have occurred. Gotta run over to the Upstate NY thread, friend and fellow poster CNYwxguy just texted me from work and they have thundersnow up in BGM :snowman:

very heavy snow. visibilty is about 1/3 of a mile. We are close to 3 inches as well. probably had two inches in the last hour. looks like this could last another couple of hours. PSU--what part of wilkes-barre are you in? I am in Hanover across the street from the Hanover area High school.

I'm in south Wilkes-Barre...a few blocks from Hanover Township. I'm closer to Meyers HS/W-B Memorial Stadium.

If we keep this up and pull off 6", the credit goes to the short-term models...the RRs nailed this.
