hah, i like a lil bit ago when they said to just have the traffic stay put cuz there's "nowhere to go". Could only imagine bein stuck on that rural stretch of I-80 with this going on.

Also heard on there about a road or two closing from trees coming down too, that wind is rippin pretty good.

Nice. New band forming over me it appears and holding off dry slot.

Yea that lil hole is slowing closing back up and we should remain in some decent snow for awhile longer as the last piece lifts up through. I'm curious to see some reports out of the Laurels.

I dont post much, but would like to post my observations this evening as they were quite amazing to say the least! I took a ride from near benton, columbia county north on Rt. 42. At the intersection of 42 and 118 it was sleeting / snowing 33 degrees, just slushy. I continued north on 42, and I quickly became nervous as there was a serious transition zone from a mix to straight freezing rain, but it was the winds that were incredible. Numerous trees uprooted, and apprx. .25" freezing rain at about 5:45PM

I went north to Eagles Mere, where there were 6-8" snow drifts at 7:00 PM on the road, basically drift, road, drift, road. The winds were insane, with pure snow, temperater 25 degrees at 7:00 PM

On the way back, I passed under numerous power lines on rt. 239 that were literally feet above my truck.

Back in benton, the winds were quite calm.

I would have to say the mountains of sullivan county will be ground zero for this storm, at least in PA.
