yeah..the c/w ma...maybe some e ma folks will have to watch that area out in CNY as it moves east.

the 18z nam is a lot like the ruc and nmm and leaves behind a little snow in MBY too. we'll see.

Binghamton reporting 0.25 vis along with moderate snow at their latest ob. Pretty amazing that the same band was in Niagara Falls this morning.

those totals is what QPF has occured from 1pm to 7pm ..primarily 1-4pm... and the thickness snapshot is at 7pm....after the dry slot works thru......we shall see what the band in Ny/PA has for us after it rotates ENE this /evening.

the very tail end of it might be...but don't forget...that represents precip falling between 18Z and 00Z...that's a 6h total.

Thanks guys...

I do understand the timing on these models. I was hoping not all of that qpf depiction on the 18Z is in fact between 18Z-20Z. The dry slot is approaching pretty quickly, if that band over NY/PA holds together I think it may overperform (ie more than just a coating-1").

yeah it's a pretty potent area of snow.

the hrrr swings it right across SNE and actually intensifies it a bit as it gets into E areas. some other stuff seemed to hint it might weaken/shift NE.

i'd be happy to pick up some snows later on. worth watching.

NAM seems like it intensifies it as it moves just offshore.
