jt5019
NEAR TERM /THROUGH TONIGHT/... -- Changed Discussion --LOW PRESSURE LOOKS TO BE TRACKING RIGHT TOWARD NYC METRO...BASED ON LATEST ANALYSIS AND PRESSURE FALLS. WARM FRONT PUSHING THROUGH CSTL ZONES. WILL CONTINUE TO MONITOR TRENDS. STILL BELIEVE WIND RELATED HEADLINES WILL BE MAINLY MET FROM MID AFTERNOON ON THROUGH THE EVENING. BULK OF THE STRATIFORM RAIN MOVING EAST. BETTER CHANCE FOR CONVECTION OUT AHEAD OF LOW AND FRONT THIS AFTERNOON. SEVERE RISK REMAINS...WITH EMPHASIS FURTHER SOUTH. TSTM MENTION LOOKS GOOD. ROTATING CELLS POSSIBLE IN THIS HIGH HELICITY ENVIRONMENT...IF WE REALIZE 500-800 J/KG CAPES. STRONG GUSTS CONTINUE THIS EVENING...WITH BEST CHANCE FOR 40 TO 50 KT GUSTS BEHIND THE FRONT AS COLD AIR ALOFT RUSHES IN...AROUND 00Z. WINDS QUICKLY DIMINISH AFTER MIDNIGHT AS THE LOW RACES TOWARD THE CANADIAN MARITIMES AND HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS FROM THE WEST. COULD SEE SOME SNOW SHOWERS POST FRONTAL AS THE STORM PULLS AWAY TONIGHT. Tropopause_Fold
Ridgefield is south of DXR..and that map illustrates classically where it's gonna track.south coast ct..Skirting inland by like 8 miles. LOL. given sam said DXR...and you laughed at him...i'm thinking he deserves some kudos.

snowman21
Ridgefield is south of DXR..and that map illustrates classically where it's gonna track.south coast ct..Skirting inland Ridgefield looks warm sectored to me: SW winds, a temp jump of almost ten degrees from DXR. DXR is practically on the Danbury-Ridgefield line (south side of town) for those that aren't familiar with the area. Also given that DXR is about 25 miles from the water, it'd be pretty difficult for a low to skirt the south coast and be well south of DXR at the same time. Clinch Leatherwood
Well maybe north of PVD as they just shifted south. Pretty cool how the front wavers around. It may follow a curved track doing an s curve staying well south of DXR before jumping up into SE/E CT and crossing near PVD/Taunton and out south of blue hill. Sorry you guys are missing this one.... Has nothing to do with snow/rain. Winds are lackluster, precip has been spotty at best. Snow was never an issue down here, nor will it be on Sunday as the GFS is now moving to the Euro, pike north storm. Its just boring, hopefully a squall line develops and winds are realised tonight when the cold front blows through!! Hope you get buried up there!!
