CoastalWx
The irony of this post in a winter where we've had more severe than many summers is delicious... I joked with my wife when we had that thunder last week. I said that may be the best storm of the year.
weatherwiz
The irony of this post in a winter where we've had more severe than many summers is delicious... We've certainly had a crazy winter with thundersnows and thunderstorms producing hail and wind damage. Ever since the summer our weather has been pretty fun. Mr Torchey
Just ugly on the south coast its actually great, rain has stopped, winds have gone light and its almost 50 with brightening skies, feels great!!
weathafella
the only grass anywhere that I've seen anywhere in N CT is on south facing slopes along the hgyws..Off the hgwys still 100% deep cover..from Tolland to Windsor, to HFD But Scott posted the lots of grass and it may be similar. eg: Sun exposed fields have some spots while shady areas are in deep snow. Woods are all snow of course. We'll add Sunday but that should be easy to obliterate fluff followed by a rainy warm Monday.

vttaconics
Heavy snow. 4.5" and holding steady at 29.5 F. Thinking that BTV's 8-12 will verify. Went out on the xc skis for an hour.... came back absolutely plastered and soaking wet. Good fun.
CoastalWx
Stil think it goes near PVD (maybe a hair south) and right over TAN to near GHG. Quonset Point and PVD just shifted nw, so pressure falls are over Messenger's dirty fanny.

Mica Vim Toot
Is it decent on the Canadian side around Edmundston etc? I know up here in the outermost reaches of Upstate NY ...you can always drive over the border into Ontario and see more affluence. I've crossed the NB border multiple times at the minor crossings near Caswell, California Rd. (Limestone), Fort Fairfield, Easton & Bridgewater. Western NB's economy is quite similar to Aroostook's. Big farming & small businesses. I have seen no difference. An interesting side-note: There is a golf course/country club directly on the border where the Aroostook R. enters NB just above Fort Fairfield. The clubhouse is bisected by the border line as is the parking lot. Canadian plates in the east lot, ME plates in the west. The bar is on the Canada side. The links are in America and Canada but the players don't have to clear customs. (US Border Patrol has screwed that up for Canadians now. Too many cops & too much copness, folks! Now back to our program) This course was built during prohibition. It's lovely. Set in the highlands above the Aroostook R. gorge. Uniquely Aroostook County. The clubhouse. The fog bank indicates the river course below. Vim Toot!

weatherwiz
the south coast of CT could be in some fun for convection a bit later on...just to the south of the warm front, temps spiking into the 50's, temperatures cooling aloft should yield potentially a few hundred J/KG of elevated cape. free_man
Still kind of snowing here, past 20 minutes has been sleety but it's not bouncing, very soft? I'm betting I do a better job manscaping than 99.9999% of the users on this forum...just judging from the amount of time spent on their keasters or going brown eye to brown eye at the GTGs. --- It's about 51 here now. Raging SW winds. Low is going to pass NW of me by a decent bit. Balls out warm now in ECT. 45s per the meso.
