moneypitmike
Staying all snow here for now. Probably can add at least another .25" to my earlier measurement of 4.3" Gotta' drive to Northampton now. It will be sad to drive out of the snow zone. Looks like N. Franklin Co. jackpots as far as Ma. goes. Chris--what's your temp down there? 30.5/29 here.

HoarfrostHubb
You will snowblow. You can't push this stuff with the shovel because most of it just falls off the back or out the sides. I will wind up shoveling the steps in any case (just push it ove the edge) and maybe the walkway (again, no lifting this cement) If I need to snowblw it I will, but I will wait until later in any case. BOX has my old total of 3.2"... not sure if I should send in my other 3.5" measurement Hope my drainage works out
CoastalWx
the only grass anywhere that I've seen anywhere in N CT is on south facing slopes along the hgyws..Off the hgwys still 100% deep cover..from Tolland to Windsor, to HFD My folks still have their yard completely covered. Those nights where spots cooled below freezing after a high in the upper 40s payed off. It would get to 35 here, and melting kept happening. It's very local because just a couple of miles away, and there is still snowcover in most spots.

Tropopause_Fold
You were saying skirts the north coast of LI or the south coast of CT to PYM ... that's not across SE CT But it's irrelevant anyway, since it's going to track through Danbury good call - very close it seems like based on obs... maybe a few ticks south of the actual dxr site. Organizing Low
6-7 hours until the change to snow...like sands thru the hourglass ..these are the weenie days of our lives looking at weenie radar it must be pelting rain there temp?

moneypitmike
That's what the ski-resorts say. It sounds better than saying rain or sleet. I'm going to head out and see what exactly this stuff is. I dont' here pinging, so it hink its zr.
Logan11
You gotta get quality snow though now to keep cover ...this could go fast if we get a week of mild wx with the March sun. Last weekend's 3 inches of fluff was mostly gone by yesterday in the few bare grass areas we had after the thaw. Even though it never got above freezing (until 35 yesterday)...it still melted. Now today's stuff is not real wet, but it is a solid 10-1 snowfall.
wxmanmitch
That sux... I'm trying to get some obs out of the Mid Hudson Valley to your due west..... where we have a cottage that we rent out... But that is the obs dead zone right now. Yeah, obs from the Hudson south of ALB are sparse. I'd say we flip back around 18Z as the low passes our longitude. Glad you're doing well with this one. You deserve it after all of the near misses and glancing blows you've had this year.
Clinch Leatherwood
good call - very close it seems like based on obs... maybe a few ticks south of the actual dxr site. Yep right thru eastern ct ri and the south shore. Temps spiking into ct. If the nam is right keV will hit 45-50 in a few hours

moneypitmike
Probably sleet. That's what I would have thought, but it's a lot lighter than sleet and isn't really pinging. Hopefully it will be shortlived and can come back to a straight snow. Up to 30.7/29, light wind from the NE.

weathafella
I just can't wait til May and June comes then we can start tracking real severe wx threats.
