look at the location of presusre change (top right image) according to the latest RUC run and pressure change maps, this low pressure should track to North-Central PA, not to NYC, means more precip/snow my way. 4.6 inches in buffalo suburbs and still heavy snow falling--- PS, THIS IS 13Z, NOT 12... looks like the RUC is onto something here. spells bad news for those in the Capital district who are on the cusp

A misconception. True for woodsy areas only.

Be amidst open fields and the flies don't molest you until sunset.

Black fies are vampires.

No black fly troubles at Chateau Vim Toot:

No flies on them! Ya, ok it's autumn but I just like this photo.

This gang is black fly free. Those vampires live down below in the woods.

As Mr. Jesse Jackson- who has never been spotted in Aroostook County- says, "Stay out de Bushes!"

Awesome.

You sound like my wife, keys are in the ignition all the time, never lock our door, if the crooks are coming, nothing a lock will do. Only downside is if the keys are in the ignition, insurance does not cover car theft.

Simply put, insurance is a bet. An insurance purchaser is betting $XXX.xx / year that his house will burn down.

The insurance company accepts the bet/money and bets your house wont burn down.

It's a good bet by the insurance company that my car will not be stolen in Aroostook County!

Vim Toot!

This storms looks like it's going to be a huge dump for nearly all the VT and NH ski resorts especially with that outer heavy band that goes through BUF moving east. Really wish I wasn't so busy I'd be up to the VT or NH resorts in a heartbeat this weekend. This is exactly what they needed after the deterioration of conditions from that brief warm-up. Hopefully the monday cutter doesn't do too much damage.
