It's cool right up until it flips....been there six times this winter. Those radar shots are awesome.

I wonder how much further north that line gets.

I'm sure eventually we see some rain to the NH/VT border but how long it takes to get here and if it's just a negligible drizzle at that point is what I care about.

Starting to rip here, nice small flakes still. Temp is actually down half a degree here for the time being. 30.5/30

It's piling up nicely. Not really sure what's going to transpire. Current conditions say "be optimistic". WSW says be optimistic. Local forecasts  . I'm not sure how the r/s line will be progressing through the day. But we're over 2" at this point.

Temp rock steady at 29.3/27.

Could be the type of deal where you and I stay snow while it's gone over to mix at Pete's glacier. Latitude ftw.

Scott, what did I say last night about climo for snow vs "non-snow" line rotting?

It always sets up right over ORH it seems or close

LOL, that's so funny how it works out like that. Well congrats on the new snow. Hopefully between that, limited melting from the cold rain, and maybe some new snow in about 12 hrs...limited damage or even a net gain possibly.

We're done here...I was hoping against hope we'd keep the line south until 15z...but it just happened...at 12:30z. We are screwed now until it changes back over.

1.8" new. Congrats Moneypitmike!!!!!!!!!. Extra !!!!. for Him. Hopefully it collapses back SE fairly quick. My guess is ORH never gets above 35F...maybe not 34F.

3" of new snow now. Had a period of PL mixing in here with a temporary let up in the precip so mid-levels are very sketchy. Ripping parachutes ATM, so I'm probably right on the fence. Hopefully, this can continue for a while and fend off the WAA in the mid-levels. Every inch of latitude is going to make a difference around here. 42.6 N is likely going to be a quite a bit better than I am at 42.4 N, while 42.2 N gets less than I do. Going to be a big difference between places like Sheffield and Williamstown on this one. RUC gets the 850 0 line to AQW and it halts it there. We'll see if it gets there, considering its warm bias.

weathertap showing some lightning strikes over extreme NW PA near Lake Erie...some some thundersnow with this system.

Yeah I made a post yesterday that we had some instability with this system, especially as the vortmax passes through later on. I wouldn't be shocked if some areas of NNE had a rumble....maybe even some spots here as the ULL passes by, although that might be a stretch.
