Behind this, we'll have to watch a much weaker feature zip out of the Plains and into the Midwest late tonight and tomorrow, generating a large area of clouds, and a somewhat smaller area of snow that will extend from portions of the Dakotas and Nebraska through Minnesota and Iowa into Wisconsin and northern Illinois. It will then streak eastward late tomorrow and tomorrow night, largely along and north of I-80 before pulling away from the southern New England Coast Sunday afternoon.

As storms go, it won't be very impressive, especially in light of some of the big storms that have affected these areas over the past three months, but it means more snow in a winter that just won't quite. Still, in the heaviest areas, which probably will include the southern tier of New York and southern New England, a good 3 to 5 inches might well accumulate.

i was just watching the radar loop on weather.com, looks like you guys were right on the line, and are still pretty close. looks like it wants to drop back south though, which is great news!

I really hope so. We have come this far taint free, why much it up now. We have a good thing going. At 2 this Am Gray had me for 4-6 woke up at 630 and it was at 11-16 so this may be one of those rare overperformers. Im hoping it is anyway. I was happy with 3 earlier this morning becasue it wasnt looking so hot the last few days. All this extra....icing on the cake so to speak
