The_Global_Warmer
http://www.ksdk.com/video/default.aspx?aid=149125#/Weather/Cindy%27s+Friday+Evening+Forecast/48559664001/48741800001/856814255001 This is the lead forecast at the highest rated local news station. that was pathetic. last night all of the models were either mostly south of us or all snow for us. that forecast called for a change over to snow at 1030pm? we had heavy snow from noon till 7 pm, terrible. ZERO EFFORT.

snowstormcanuck
Have not been above freezing since early Wednesday morning. A stretch of 4+ days. Can't remember the last time that's happened in late March. Edit: 1983 was the last time.
TimChgo9
I am not sure when the last stretch was of below freezing days in late March, but we have been below freezing since Thursday. We will be lucky to see 35 tomorrow. We have been below normal for 5 days, and will continue to be below normal until Friday, at the earliest. Fortunately for us, no snow out of the deall.... dmc76
Isnt it ironic that something SO beautiful looks like this when it dies? Had my camera today as I was near the mall so I stopped for a few pics of a snowy winters post-mortem The trash in the snow is ridiculous and we say pigs are a filthy animal

roardog
This evening will be 1 week with snowcover here. That's a huge achievement for this time of year. Also, the temp hasn't been above freezing for a week. Although, it should go above freezing today.
snowstormcanuck
3.56" precip for the month, which is the most I've seen in a March imby since I started observing in 1999.
Powerball
Well good news is we're really tallying up the sunny days. We're already well above average to date with respect to our number of sunny days (43 as of today, average is 35ish).
Tropical
In Kansas city for work. Trees leafing out here, forsythia blooming and some people have already mowed their lawn. cyclone77
Our humidity was down to 14% this afternoon. Probably the most exciting weather phenomenon we've seen here in almost two months.

IWXwx
was a cold, damp, dreary day to end march...0.21 for rain with temp in 30's. Yuck. March came in like a lamb and went out like a lamb here. March 1st was 43/21 and partly cloudy and March 31st was mostly sunny and 46/26.

cyclone77
March ends here as a very uneventful month. Only a trace of snow. Had a few meager rain events. Our nickel-quarter size hailstorm a few weeks ago was the highlight of the month. That was actually pretty cool. Another interesting thing did happen today though. As I was just about to get into my car after work I noticed an intense "cornstalk devil" in the cornfield just east of our parking lot. The winds outside of this were nearly calm. Some of the litter mixed in with the devil slowly lifted to a height I'd estimate to be at least 300 feet. Very cool! It persisted for a few minutes, but soon dissipated after it hit a row of trees. snowstormcanuck
Can't complain about the March 23rd event, but it's a bit of a shame all this other potential fell by the wayside. Region wide, this was one of the colder late Marches in quite a while, and for some of you, it netted virtually no snow.
michsnowfreak
March was our 4th consecutive month below normal temperatures at DTW. Dec: -4.0F Jan: -2.7F Feb: -2.5F Mar: -1.9F Ended the month with 9.1" of snow imby and 8.6" at DTW, though it almost all came in 2 events. MBY: 4.7" Mar 5/6 4.3" Mar 10/11 0.1" Mar 14 This actually is slightly above normal, though coming off of record February snow it doesnt feel like it. Its been a very wet start to 2011, as through March 31st, this calendar year has already brought MBY 9.65" of precipitation and 58.9" of snow.
