This is some sick line for this time of year! Beautiful forced line of convection. NYC looks like it will be getting hit pretty good. Looks like everything is linear today, was wondering if we would possibly see some discrete cells at first but the flow aloft is more on the unidirectional side with the directional shear taking place in the lower levels with the warm front around.

I wonder if we see a warning for the NYC metro area soon?

It's already cleared the city but we had some good winds and a downpour. Looked more like April/May than Feb.

It moved through fairly quickly, a brief downpour and some wind but over within a couple minutes

I was "lucky" enough to be driving when it hit here in Staten Island. The sky was very dark, and everything outside was still, even then rain had tapered off, then all of sudden *BOOM*, heavy downpour with moderate wind. The whole event lasted maybe 5-7 minutes, and now it's clearing brighter skies, but the wind seems to be picking up

A quick heavy downpour here with not much in the way of wind as the line came through.

BW Its been continuously very windy since last night. I've recorded gusts over 40 every hour since I woke up around 7. Cable, Internet, etc have been out for most of this morning here. I hear rumbles of thunder, but it looks like theyre pretty far away.

Yeah,my internet was out earlier this morning also.

The strongest winds were right around 11 am here that I estimated from 50-60 mph.

An awning structure across the street from me blew down around that time.

When are these strong winds expected to pick up? so far were a big fail on the high wind warning. River is continuing to rise here at a good clip, I wonder how much more runoff we will get. So far up 13.68" and about 28.08" above normal. 19.92" to go before minor flooding begins.

3 pm - 11 pm. It's really dark again, but it doesnt look like this is associated with any convection.
