eyewall
PGV has had one to 44mph and Bozarts weather station shows 46 as the peak so far there and he is maybe 10 miles from PGV so thats a pretty good indicator of the top end around here so far. http://www.rafountai...af_weather.html Very cool. Here was the last PNS by Raleigh. So far not that exciting in most areas as of that time anyway. http://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=NWS&issuedby=RAH&product=PNS&format=CI&version=1&glossary=0&highlight=off

So far not that exciting in most areas as of that time anyway. http://forecast.weat...0&highlight=off It has a very "average" feel to it as far as these events go....run of the mill is another saying that comes to mind, there hasnt been anytime today where I was like WOW. NCBlizzard
Some decent wind gusts here a little while ago. If I had to guess I would say 35-45 mph.

FoothillsNC
Here were the gusts courtesy of the NWS in RAH, 51mph at GSO, not too shabby. Now on to the next event. Looks like you're going to be spot on for the Monday event too. Already the NWS is mentioning the low level jet and the possibility of better mixing with this event across NC, with better overall timing and dynamics....could be some gusts over 50mph in the Piedmont I think with this one. If everything came together perfectly with regards to temps, mixing and cloud cover, frontal passage arrival it could become an extremely windy day in the Carolinas. I would agree tomorrow has a better potential than Friday. I wish I could get west in time to be in the MDT.
