aslkahuna Posted February 24, 2011 Share Posted February 24, 2011 The thing to watch is the Bz number on Spaceweather.com. If it is negative then we have a good chance for a strong Gemag event. During the recent event the Bz remained positive. If anyone knows about the effects of Solar activity on GPS it's Kunches. It was his early paper on the effects of Gemag storms on GPS that helped me provide Spaceweather support to the GPS testing on Fort Huachuca in 1989.
