wxallannj
It looks like we will have another dry Saturday in the area.. Central Park as had no measurable precipitation on a Saturday since May 8th, this Saturday will make it 29 dry Saturdays in a row... I think that is a remarkable statistic.. wxallannj
Today is the 32nd straight Saturday without measurable precipitation at Central Park ( over 7 months)... Will the Christmas storm that the GFS is showing break the streak?

Will the Christmas storm that the GFS is showing break the streak? I find that astonishing. Even in Nov?
LMolineuxLM1
This is an amazing feat so far. And it looks to hold for a 33rd and a 34th.

tmagan
So no snow on Christmas? All is not lost, there are 25 meaningless NBA games on that day.
Rainshadow
All is not lost, there are 25 meaningless NBA games on that day. How many days til pitchers report? Its still an amazing stat, like flipping a coin and it coming out tails 10 times in a row.
LongIslandWx
That's a pretty neat stat. It would be kind of ironic to break it on Christmas of all days....
Big Jims Videos
This was a great stat for the saturday night local speedways in my area--I think I had one or two rain outs all year at New Egypt Speedway--Its great for business, and much better than a few years ago when we lost something like 5 weeks in a row to the rain...
