We'll see who's drinking the kool aid in a few years .

Yep. It will be fun to watch the warming group's fantasy fall apart over the next few years. Thier siting the warming over the last 20 years and saying it will continue is similar to saying it was warmer in July than May so therefore we'd burn up over the coming months!!! The dadgum warming group didn't even call for the current cool from a few years ago. The warming group should at least take a look at climate cycles and patterns. But, they'd rather not as it would derail thier agenda.

Actually its not. Its pretty well established scientifically that the tilt of the Earth's axis will cause overall cooling in the northern hemisphere after July. Meanwhile, there is scientific evidence that increased CO2 will contribute to a warmer climate. Thus, its ignorant to compare those two ideas.

True that about CO2. However, what is missing from the AGW crowd is an appreciation that the warming will not be steady or always increasing as many of them say but will have periods where it may stall or even temporarily reverse due to other factors involved in the climate system. This is what many of us say-that although it's happening it's doing so with bumps and grinds.

Totally agree. Also...just because someone had a cold winter in their backyard (region) for one season, doesn't discount the fact that warming is occurring on a global scale. Steve Ducey of Fox News tried to claim global warming was a farce a couple years ago when the upper Midwest had a below normal winter. Temporally and spatially, this is just idiotic information to send to an already confused public.

So the Stefan–Boltzmann law has been refuted?

Honestly, both sides of this debate use idiotic arguments to justify their position. Why? Because these arguments WORK on their target audiences. In both cases, follow the money. You will see that there are some serious financial reasons for people being on one side of the debate or the other. Science has always been manipulated by those with agendas to further that agenda. It's been going on since Kepler was doing astronomy and way before. It is foolish to think that human nature has changed, and that we are somehow now "above it all" scientifically. Agendas remain, and always will.

However, the true science of the matter will eventually win out. It's just that the concepts involved are still very theoretical. For crying out loud, Einstein's Theory of Relativity is still a freaking theory. The real problem I see in all this AGW stuff is that the scientific METHOD is usually ignored. And that method is well defined and has specific requirements and steps to validate something. The problem with AGW is that it can't pass the scrutiny of the scientific method, but nonetheless is used as a political tool to justify various social positions on the grounds that "it'll be too late if we don't do X now".

I want to see the data (and how they obtained that data) of the Anti-GW group, that's all.

Looks like the truth is hurting you cause somewhat . THe ONLY people that are confused are the one who buy into the whole global warming hysteria. The rest of us know this is a cycle and anyone who buys into this idea that what we do as citizens wll heat up the planet must have thier heads in the sands.

Yeah it looks like this thread has run its course unless anyone posts info on what JB's actual plans are in the weather field.

Total speculation on my part. Joe may have some non disclosure non compete clause from one or both sides, the silence or lack of news is not surprising. Meanwhile, I'll go back to stirring the AGW pot. :devilsmiley:
