I mentioned this in another thread and got laughed at and was accused of "hallucinating.". It's time to nowcast. D.C. will be lucky to see more than an inch at this point. The slug west over the mountains will degenerate as it traverses the apps. The models definitely took the precip too far south on their runs. Congrats North MD/ southern PA.

Joke post or serious post?

This is like the baby telling the babysitter the liquor is in the dining room cabinet, but I think you'll be fine in an hour or two.

Well Nickolai says i"m wrong to be worried but looking at the radar, the ruc and the 00Z nam and it looks like I dry slot by about 09Z, I'm just now getting sleet and rain mixed and my temp is a little below freezing. I'll be happy to get 2 inches.

I can almost say with certainty that the NAM was right with the last minute shift slightly north based on reports in Gettysburg and york pa...still hearing reports of snow mixed with sleet in b-more and frederick...radar doesn't look all that impressive either...kind of spotty with the heavy stuff...we've only got another 4-6 hrs left...which is still enough time...it's just getting close...

OT stuff goes in OT.

Then post the link to OT, because I'm not done ****ting on people and unveiling their contradictions. Btw thanks for deleting my posts. I know they were riddled with evidence of the general incompetency of some folks here, but definitely better to shield the weak.

eight beers deep, at least make it difficult for me to untangle the webs of bull that I have to sift through. What. A. Joke.

I'm not going to argue with you.

I deleted EVERYONE'S post, not just yours. But if you want to sulk like a petulant child, do it in OT or be gone.

Thanks.

Turns out this was exactly right.

You my friend are exactly right. Those South of the MD/PA border are in for a disappointment if they are expecting accumulating snow in the 4-8 range. Best bet 1-2 inches.

I tried to warn you all yesterday before the impending disater that was going to occurr, but was ridiculed. Southern PA and Northern MD were the winners as predicted. The 5-8 inches forecasted were way too South, at least I got what proper forecasting showed would happen.

Northern MD != MD/PA border...

You were completely wrong. Many places south of the border got 4-7" of snow.

I didn't get 7, but I got 5, well within the 4-7 forecast for my area. I am 50 miles south of the PA border, and just about four miles NE of downtown Baltimore, but still within the city limits. It flipped to snow at 8:00 pm and stayed snow until 4:00 am. It sucks that not everyone got in on the good stuff, but there were plenty in our region who did just fine.

You busted.

You realize that 50 miles south of the PA border is on a longtitude with Silver Spring and Annapolis, right?

If so, then you must be well south of Baltimore, closer to DC. Check again.

Well, I moved here in 2009, so I have not measured up 83. What am I then, 35 miles south of PA border? Still, I am NOT right on the border, given that I am within Baltimore city limits and not even a little part of the notorious Hereford zone up I-83.

Point is, you did NOT have to be right on the PA/MD border to cash in on this one.

I do get the frustation for those of you who were down toward DC, or even around BWI. This was a cruel storm for our area in terms of the cut-off as you dropped south through our region.

I completely agree with your point. SNO did not know what it was talking about.

And it is even more frustrating since I live in northern MD but go to college near DC, so my home town got about 5" while there was mostly sleet where I was, with an inch of sleet/snow.

OMG are you done crying about missing a stupid snowstorm? You sound like a broken record.
