dan88
With the morning models starting to come in, the SREF is sharper with the gradient on the north side, but shifted the axis of heavy precip north, and has heavier precip just Southeast of Philly. Philly would be a bit of a liquid bump compared to the previous run.
winterwarlock
Reports of an inch from Hillsborough and Franklin so I'm guessing that's about what you had too? Probably nothing on pavement... yep thats about right. Just on cars and grassy surfaces. Lets see if round 2 could push this far north but I fear just a dusting

I think 1-2" is a good bet this far north tonight....I'd be shocked to squeeze out 3 or more.....close call though.

The 3 leaves room for a bit of a northward nudge, which is not out of the question.

Sounds good. I was shocked we got 1/2" last night, I was expecting nothing. Anyway, I'm still ready for spring to be here.

jrodd321
NAM is weird. I don't understand how Philly barely manages to get into the .25"+ with a simulated radar like this at 18.

I think 3-4" can easily come this far north. Lots of moisture that I don't think all suddenly slips south. Last night got about a half inch, but nothing on the roads or the patio. I don't understand how Philly barely manages to get into the .25"+ with a simulated radar like this at 18. my guess is its because the column is not fully saturated thus your losing out on some of the precip. Do you buy the sharp cutoff the further east and south you go from what the 12Z NAM is showing? Thanks

Thanks yes because you can see it in the hgt lines that its more suppressive along the east coast then in western pa, it like bows down, almost like a cad signature.
