Isotherm
Extrapolating that radar into the future puts the end time in SE PA at approximately 415-430am. Seems reasonable, we usually end a bit earlier than progged.

iceman56
26.6 light snow here in NW Chester County, about 1/4" new snow. Intensity needs to pick up for us to get that several inches accum.
ChescoWx
Hi Greg It is really coming down at this time. Not too sure about the 8" in my backyard but....you should do better a little west of here. I am expecting somewhere around 4" but if it keeps on coming down as it is now I may revise that up a bit. Take care Paul Interesting but not surprising....Given the radar projections, ratios, and the fact that MBY tends to do very well on the west to east events due to local geography/elevation, I would be surprised to wake to less than 8" of snow. ChescoWx
Just a few miles up the road from you and it is really coming down. I see KMQS is now also reporting heavy snow 26.6 light snow here in NW Chester County, about 1/4" new snow. Intensity needs to pick up for us to get that several inches accum. LVblizzard
24F with very heavy virga. This is some of the heaviest virga I've ever experienced. For the Boxing Day storm I was under 10-15 dbz echoes for much of the storm and it snowed lightly. This is 30 dbz stuff and nothing.

Take care Paul Paul, Great to see the Chester County contingent(chubbs, iceman, etc) out in full force...You may be right about the high end, perhaps it's the current SN+ and the New England styled maple syrup flavored whisky "Cabin Fever" causing me to get overly aggressive with my amounts... Enjoy the snow! Greg

Weatherbug or wunderground Tom -- Villanova has their own station on wunderground: http://www.wundergro...85&sp=KPAVILLA1 It's correct with everything except sky conditions...it's obviously not overcast right now. Yes_Probably_Maybe_No
past 30 or so minutes radar indicates that the mod snow is hitting a brick wall pretty much right over NE Philly...so close yet so far with a pretty weird precip gradient...it appears that the wave of precip to the west in Mont will finally push the dry air away....hopefully

Voyager
This has got to be one of the best virga storms I've ever seen. What would amount to moderate snow is getting eaten alive by the dry air. I wonder if we can go through the whole storm with barely a flake.
