Took a nice picture of your area while driving down 87 today.

lmaosmiley.gifDude It's not like your 1,000 +feet above sea level

now here in the pocono's elevation FTWguitar.gif although hopefully bronxville gets a good whacking ;) since i'll be home tomorrow.

LOL, yeah I'm totally joking...elevation won't make any difference in this event since it's clearly cold enough to snow across all of NYC metro except perhaps Southern Monmouth County. 350-400' elevation isn't a big deal usually, although the contrasts can be pretty stark in urban areas when you go from 100' downtown to 400' in a wooded, shaded area. The snowpack retention this year after the torch and the 2/25 Snowicane last year are examples where it did make a significant difference. But it usually is no big deal.

BTW we have a house at 1500' elevation in the Poconos, they are going to get hammered tonight. The higher spots up there are really awesome in winter, love the winding roads and rolling hills of Wayne County where I spent much time growing up.

At least we wont have a three hour debate as to whether schools will be closed.

:lmao:

Or four pages of talk about what the TV Mets are calling for, why they are calling for it, descriptions of their maps, history of their broadcasting station, information about their credentials, and opinions on all of them.

There's nothing wrong with a genuine New England accent. The guy you're talking about has a great New England sound. Hollywood does a bad job trying to produce the accent.

Agreed. Boston > Southern accents. Not even close.

Meanwhile, with the NAM predicting 850 temps of -4 at Newark, I'll go with a high of 60 tomorrow.
