I'm a little worried that it may be tough to bring a decent pattern back in.......things shall we say are not going according to plan...still time though...and rain washing the ridiculous amount of salt dumped on walkways Monday won't be so bad...

It's a raging +NAO. My concern grows with each day.

BTV's discussion seems about right... no heavy snowfall accumulations have ever really been in the cards with this system. Just a light to maybe moderate event (generally less than 8")... I love how this time of year they get so relaxed about snowfall that 4-7" is like "meh". If BOX mentioned 4-7" of snowfall I can think of a few who would be hounding BOX for not issuing a winter storm watch or something like that, lol.

This has advisory event written all over it.

SNOWFALL AMTS

COULD TOTAL 4-7" ACROSS CENTRAL/S-CENTRAL VT DURING

FRIDAY...PERHAPS AS FAR NORTH AS BTV...BUT STILL A BIT SOON TO

PIN DOWN AMTS. LIGHTEST AMTS SHOULD FALL ACROSS THE ST. LAWRENCE

VALLEY. DON/T FORESEE ANY PARTICULARLY HEAVY SNOW ACCUMULATIONS

DUE TO FAST MOVEMENT OF SYSTEM...WHICH IS CONSISTENT ACROSS THE

00Z NWP SUITE. THAT SAID...TRAVEL COULD BE SLOW DUE TO SNOW

COVERED ROADS FOR THE MORNING COMMUTE FRIDAY AND DURING THE

DAYLIGHT HRS. HIGH TEMPS FRIDAY ARE EXPECTED IN THE LOW TO MIDDLE

30S.-- End Changed Discussion --

Don't look at 150hr on the EC.

I saw it. Next week's storm looks bad. I'm just looking forward to a few inches tomorrow night, maybe a little ice, and then a few more inches Sunday. No reaason to get upset or worry about next week. Surprised folks are giving up but it always happens when a bad model run or 2 comes out

Well we've lost Scooter. He's talking about raging positive NAO's and flooding , arcs, and has cancelled winter. He held on for a long time..But he's gone. I'm sure we'll have some more go that route today

I'll be the last standing. Even you will bail once you see a patch of lawn and get itchy to dump pesticides on it.

I'm not lost, but some of the stuff I see concerns me. I'm still hopeful, but the last 7-10 days has made me a little nervous about going forward. It doesn't mean we can't get a good snow event.

When things run off the tracks here I always have my mome away from home to cheer for. In the end I think I'll pick up some on the front end and maybe a bit as the system pulls away. Hope you guys get pasted if it has to go bad here.
