I read the entire thread since my last post 13+ hours ago.

Some thoughts: This cold wimped out in a hurry...late season sun ftw.....among the biggest short term MOS busts in my memory....had me with a high of mid 20s at BOS and I believe 37 was the number. Like radiating March nights, it's dropping quickly.

Like many a March storm, this next one may well look like 45* rain until the last minute. As long as it's cold aloft, BL cold quickly. If the low cuts under us, many of us will get 6+. I'm personally thinking this one may be a lost cause but I need 3.6 in Ray's BY. Otherwise I believe we'd be even.

The long sunny days do stir up thoughts of warmer times....things growing.....scantily clad coeds parading all over town...it's not so bad. But for now, we have a solid period of possibilities. I think we do have the chance of this pattern farting itself into oblivion much to all of our disappointment. But until then...long....live....winter!!!!

Im kinda shocked, and confused but then again some areas of new england are doing so much better than others. We down here in the bowels of new england have a great chance to beat the all time snowiest winter. There is a good chance I will never see this much snow again in my lifetime, in fact very good chance. SNowpack is strong, granted we were lucky down here yesterday with the fluff job. But, this almost seems like an addiction to crack for some, never enough, always complaining, hate to tell ya but reality sucks, life sucks often, but this has been a great winter, and every event from now until April 1 is not going to be snow, its going to rain, and ice and sleet, thats reality.

The last ten years have been a blessing snow wise, growing up in the 80's (on the ct coast) sucked. This is not the time of year for snowpack retention unless your in ski country, that time has passed the majority of us. Its going to snow again, perhaps even another ku in March, either way being a snow lover this winter has ****ing rocked and a little practicality is needed, this aint Tahoe.

This ^^^, winter FTW.

This winter has been awesome, never has it snowed so much or lain so long here (at least since 60-61).

Hopefully the GFS is right in taking the PNA a bit more favorable as we get into March, or it might be hard to get another big coastal. 12z ECM doesn't show much hope in the long-range as a springtime pattern emerges with a vortex over the Gulf of Alaska and +NAO keeping the jet tied up in Canada. Lots of cold air to the north, but can it get here with the breakdown of the Pacific pattern we've seen this much as well as a much less blocky regime?

Elephant lives in Caribou. + 8.8 in December.

laugh.gif -NAO FTW. Torch 'em again please.
