CoastalWx
I'll be honest..these posts about winter ending..hoping all the snow melts, warmth..holding hands with other men and dancing in circles is absolutely nauseating. It's Feb 22. We have a full month of winter left on the calandar. Many of us need less than 20 inches to make 100 for the year. I'll track every event and hope every event trends colder until the very end. If the pattern fails..it fails..if we get 5 inches on Sunday and it rains on Tuesday next week.. oh well...that much closer to 100 People are just frustrated after the epic 8 weeks. It's understandable, but it also helps that you have 15" OTG still. We're all human, and people feel differently about their "snow". I'll root for any snow, but the last few weeks have been extremely meh. Lets just hope for an above avg March.

40/70 Benchmark
The winter has been great, but these past 3 weeks (AFTER groundhog day) have sucked azz......maybe some folks love it, but the 16" snowpack doesn't do much for me anymore.....it's nasty; better than brown grass, yes.....but we just can't add anything and it's so beat. Now, I see sand and patches of crap with snow confined to shady areas. This month really jumped the shark after Groundhog day, but we saw it coming. I just hope we can have a decent March. That 6 week stretch spoiled a lot of people so for a lot of people, we break in the pattern seems like something ridiculous and unbearable. This last 3 weeks has been pretty bleh, but I'm with you on that we are not done by any means yet. We can see how close some of these events are going to be...likely going forward more and more as the EPO makes the cold push tot he south. There' potential for an east based NAO block for a while in the first week of March.

I very well could be, And after that to be honest, I will be ready to see it go, When i switch from snowmobiling moad to golf moad, I just as soon see it all go, And by then the itch will be in full swing come the end of March first of April

Organizing Low
He's right though... the most frustrating pattern is bitter cold, rain, bitter cold, dusting, rain, bitter cold. I had my first moment of the season this morning where I woke up and saw that it was -5F and thought, hmm, maybe this isn't so much fun anymore. I absolutely love snow, but I'm not a fan of extreme cold if it doesn't snow. It has nothing to do with not being a snow lover. Ray is a true snow lover and so is just about everyone on here... but we aren't necessarily cold lovers. The only reason a lot of us like the cold is because it brings snow. If cold isn't going to bring snow, then it does lose its value. its been horrible the last few days, just awful ....the wind has been dismal. I want to make sure people aren't trying to read into my posts about concerns, because I can also point out things like the EPO as well.
