18z GFS will be about 200 miles NW of 12z..as it finally gets a clue. Just lock in an interior cold rain.,...and move onto the snow on Sunday

Not that it matters much but Euro was over Albany, and NAM runs the surface from White Plains to Boston, pretty big difference. So if anything it's splitting the difference between the GFS an the Euro.

I'd be pumped to get another round of severe storms out of this, looks like the small amount of snow left imby might be gone by the end of this storm.

Ain't that the truth... he's been getting fringed and whiffed since the 2007-2008 season.

well Ray always tells me to suck it up for 07-08 epicness.

i find it hard to argue with that. i mean really, how can you?

but at the same time, i hope i never see another winter like that again in my life, because the last 2.5 have been just as awful as 07-08 was epic.

as Ray says, climo is a b*tch

check in with the MA in 10 years.

if the euro is right, ill get a few inches....it backed off a lot from prior runs though.

UKMET looks to bury you and HPC has your area with the highest probabilities for 12"+ lol.

C'mon dude, jump on-board the bus... I never see you get excited but would love for ya to cash in on this one even if I mix with IP/ZR.

He'll be making snow angels with nothing but a Chara jersey on come Saturday.

I hear ya, I ski at Burke all the time and conditions were unreal for many weeks but the thaw turned everything into granular-ville....all they need up there is 5-8 inches of dense powder, snowing at 28-30 degrees....pattern looks great for northern New England mountains through next week

Always nice to come visit a thread and the first post I see is this, haha.

I hadn't even looked at the NAM but now that I have, it looks exactly like the GGEM.

All I want is 3-5" of synoptic snow to refresh the mountain for the second weekend of the President's Week holiday. The snow surface is, uh, firm right now and upslope fluff is nice to look at but doesn't help the overall situation.

Welp, one thing is for certain there will be a defined loser and winner in this.

Either the ECM/Ukmet and HPC will look really really good, or really really bad - and there won't be much room for excuse in the matter.

Either the GFS/GGEM will look really really good, or reall really bad - and there won't be much room for excuse in the matter.

That's just it.

the only time i ever got excited was in the second half of 07-08 when it finally dawned on me that everything was going to turn to snow no matter what.

that bus crashed a long time ago.
