MaineJayhawk
I don't know why we're even hanging onto the colder idea. The euro isn't gonna suddenly reorient the PV and shove everything south.. In fact I'll guarantee the 12z GFS comes way NW today. I fell for this back in Dec..Not this time. I just want some sort of triple point to lock in a colder rain instead of 50's..that to me is feasible

Organizing Low
Looks about right, Has been pretty much that way all winter for you guys down there so it would not surprise if this was the outcome not at all. thats why i made that post about the euro about to take a major hit at 1pm..........once the NAM fell in line with the typicall SE seasonal correction vector we have seen all year in the midrange.......its clear the euro is going to be wrong i believe. just like the models with the last event and how they corrected with the SE vector towards the euro. bottom line: if there are 2 camps and one is SE, no way you go against the SE camp this year (and last year). Typhoon Tip
Haha... Tip you can say you want summer till the cows come home, but you are definitely rooting for this to be a snow event reading between the lines. That 70F rainer is not what you are looking for, lol. It's funny sounding, sure - but honestly, no. I'm not rooting per se one way or the other. I am very excited by the wonders of weather and what can and cannot happen, in general. It's part of my make up since my earliest childhood memories. It may be easy to confuse that enthusiasm for ringing on "snow" - it's not the snow though. When I was 18 months old, I think that is my first memory - I don't recall much of anything prior. Near strobe lightning in cloud, and CG boomed loudly across the nocturnal skies of Battlecreek Michigan, circa 1971. I had two older sisters smack in dab in the age range of -oh my god the thunder's coming to kill us all- congitive development. My parents were fleeting from one bedroom to the other trying to do their best. All the sudden, my mother stops, grabs my father's arm, and they simultaneously said, "oh schit - John's bedroom is in the attack". They came bursting through the door in a panting entrance, only to find me pinned to the window with eyes like saucerlids - "Dad, look at the storm!" I remember saying that to this day. I can assure you "fear" had nothing to do with my mentality at that moment. It was pure, unadulterated fascination and awe. And I have been that way ever since. You see, I don't care for whether it is thundering, blizzarding, sleeting, snowing, so much as that it does; and at the end of the day, though my mood and enthusiasm really wishes the seasonal change were underway, I am fully capable of putting aside those druthers in lieu the governing fascination for it all. There really is a disconnect available to people there, if they choose to seek it.
CoastalWx
Well I don't want to think too much about this, since the rest of the suite hasn't come in, but this is nuts.

I'll take a whiff over a rainstorm though anyday, especially vacation week up here at the ski resort. This is good news even if we don't get any snow.
