81.9" on the season for you.

Yeah, I should break 100" if March is respectable at all. If Feb 27-28 is decent, I might need merely a pedestrian March to get there.

One thing I'm pretty sure of....March is going to have a frigid airmass either over us or close to us in the beginning of the month. Total opposite of last year's putrid, rotted out airmass.

Y'all gonna catch me?

Did you see those temp anomalies coming into the Plains?? Wow were they cold.

I think most agree on a track over SNE....just need to iron out whether it's near your hood or mine.

My guess is that it's near you and most have a cold rain, with the threat of some ice in n ORH CO and GC.

I don't buy the middle tracks...it's either going to end up WAY NW or it will cut under me. But like one of those earlier systems it may not matter for many.

I bet him that I'd see 6" or less throughout the balance of Feb.....2.5" down.

Interesting... Well, for once I hope you lose that bet. Does sleet count? 1" of slop Friday that gets washed away then 3" next week...

WRT Dom, SNH has been underperforming for 2 seasons now.

As has N ORH compared to the rest of SNE, although Will mentioned I was probably above avg for the date.

I'm actually not far behind you. Pretty good to be only 6-7" behind you with numbers this high.

Yea, the ocean has been kept in check, so we haven't seen much "coastal stratification" present in the sf totals.

The only event in which I felt some of the ocean's wrath was the Jan 18 event.

14/0, blustery but the temp is dropping like a rock. Should drop below zero the next 2 nights possibly 3. I haven't kept track but we've been below zero quite a bit more this season than the last several. ALB's forecast and BOx's forecast does not look that dire for the end of the week out here. Glad to hear Will is interested in the late weekend storm. Today was another amazing Winter day, a few inches of snow this AM and then sub zero temps tonight. Perfect.

It has been dropping steadily. 13.7/-3 attm. As far as late week goes, my stoicism comes through and says "what will be will be".

I'm not against a good March btw, so don't try to read in between the lines of my posts. I know some are going for an epic month. I'm just saying that we have a few caution flags up, and explaining what they are...mainly the dam PNA and AO.

You can also throw some reasons up as to why it will rock. If the EPO can really muscle the PV to the south...it could be one hell of a ride.

i dont think youve said anything unreasonable.

you've been all over the friday event looking ugly for days and days.

and you're longterm foreacast regarding the crazy gradient pattern with ups and downs looks to verify also.

Last year N ORH county actually did better relative to average than most areas in SNE with the exception of the Berkshires and S CT.This year its been a relative screw zone.

I'm about ready to spike the football in the end zone with regard to my bet with Jerry.

There was a MNF game about 40 years ago when a (then hapless) Steeler team featured some guy who spiked the ball on the 2 yard line as he was cruising into the end zone. Verification time is when spiking is reasonable...not 7 days out.
