wisconsinwx
EURO nailed this storm again. Reason why it's one of the best models. Yeah, it hasn't done poorly with a major storm this year.

snowstormcanuck
Yea. I think 4" seems reasonable. Anything's possible but I wouldn't get my hopes up. You can already see the advecting dry air starting to erode the pcpn shield on APX radar.

Indystorm
No doubt. I check in every now and again during the winter. It is nice to know that there are more winter weather enthusiasts (nutjobs may be another word you could use ) out there. Ok...back to this amazing storm that is missing me I hope you check in during the spring/summer svr wx season to let us know what's happening for Michiana! prinsburg_wx
EURO nailed this storm again. Reason why it's one of the best models. I wouldn't say it nailed it might have in the last couple of runs but not like nailed it 3 or 4 days out like you would expect from the euro. StormJr
Just measured about 11.5". That's another inch in about 60-90 minutes. Letting up a bit now, but still coming down.
on_wx
Up to 1.9" since 730pm. The intense granular snows have changed over to large light flakes in the last fifteen minutes. Looking at WSO radar, the band of intense dbz has shifted north of here. It now extends from northern Huron County southeast to Halton Region. Looks like 2-3" will be my final total. Original forecast 6-8" this morning, revised to 2-4" this afternoon. Wait a minute, there is more precip coming
Stevo6899
Easily 7-8 along M59 here in central Macomb. I was expecting the temp to rise but it's actually fallen to 26. Earlier saginaw was 31 while we were 27. Very interesting storm. Impressive moisture feed from the pacific.

michsnowfreak
I have a snowman stick in the backyard that goes up to 15". Two weeks ago the snow had enveloped all the inches and was covering the bottom of the snowman himself, the first time Ive seen that....it then ALL melted down to bare ground, and now it is back up to 8" (though I think we are at 7"+ but not 8"). Ive actually seen thundersnow quite a few times. Feb 20, 2011 Feb 1, 2011 Dec 19, 2008 Mar 4, 2008 Dec 16, 2007 Feb 22, 2003 By FAR the most impressive and insane was tonight and March 4, 2008. It was great to see DTW officially come in with +TSSN and 0.06 mile visib. tonight I was on the road when it hit but there were still a lot of people at the party I was at, big picture window looking out onto a snowy golf course, and they all heard/saw it and apparently it was the talk of the party. RobertSul
Really odd here in Canton, MI. Was sleeting for a bit, but then huge flakes started falling alongside tiny ones, and the huge flakes have become more numerous! Also saw a flash of lightning, didn't hear thunder though.
