I feel your pain

I don't believe it, when I left the house a couple of hours ago it was 6-8" for KW and now it's 2-4".

That was abrupt :(

Well, at least I'm still under some form of an advisory. It wouldn't feel like a storm without one.

Wow whiteout snowfall. Not even that windy. I tried to drive and take video and almost got stuck in a snowbank. Then when I got back a snowplow blocked me out of my driveway so now I get to snowblow it out. Perfect timing. Fail on my part. It really is bad out there right now.

A bummer and cool at the same time. Wouldn't mind seeing a pic of a whiteout with little wind.

Are you at the NWS office or your house?

We'll have to allow for some melting early on given temps going in and uncertainty on precip rates. I don't think I'd go more than an inch yet but potential is there for more.

Agreed on all accounts. I'm never a big fan of changeover events working out, so IMO we'll need some luck.

Forecast soundings indicate a pretty straight changeover from rain to snow, though I guess a very brief period of sleet can't be ruled out or even zr if surface temps drop faster than expected.
