IWXwx
Have shot up to 51 here. Let's play "Find the Front". Looks like I'm going to get into the warm sector, but it's going to be close. I think Cyclone77 said he is going to be in the same boat up near QC.

baroclinic_instability
Wow whiteout snowfall. Not even that windy. I tried to drive and take video and almost got stuck in a snowbank. Then when I got back a snowplow blocked me out of my driveway so now I get to snowblow it out. Perfect timing. Fail on my part. It really is bad out there right now. Chicago WX
Tomorrow's wave is looking a bit interesting for some areas. Not sure how quick the cold air will get in here but can imagine some minor accumulations. 18z NAM looks like 2" or so for LAF. Hopefully it pulls the coup. Cyrys
Heavy snow now, and my forecast for tomorrow has changed. They had been calling for 1/2" tomorrow but have raised it to 2-4".

We'll have to allow for some melting early on given temps going in and uncertainty on precip rates. I don't think I'd go more than an inch yet but potential is there for more. Cyrys
Is there any lightning in this band over the south MSP metro or is it heavy snow only? If there are any low rumbles, I won't be hearing it with the bobcat clearing the lot outside.
baroclinic_instability
Here is a quick pic. Whiteout snowfall--has to be less than 1/8 SM due to all snow.

Forecast soundings indicate a pretty straight changeover from rain to snow, though I guess a very brief period of sleet can't be ruled out or even zr if surface temps drop faster than expected.
