michsnowfreak
Yep, you're smack dab in the battle zone per all the models (except the EURO). GEM was best for you, it keep you mostly snow outside a little sleet mix. even in the battlezone dont you think dtx's 1-3" (+ ice) is still way low? dmc76
even in the battlezone dont you think dtx's 1-3" (+ ice) is still way low? DTX is out to lunch. Its like that scene in naked Gun where the fireworks store is exploding and Leslie Nielson tells everyone..."theres nothing to see here"

IWXwx
Looking for a late evening/midnight high here well into the 50's. Still some chance we get near 60. Started with a little zr, quickly transitioning to light rain this morning. Was 31 this morning and has sssslowly crept up to 36. I hope you are right. If we aren't gonna get any winter precip out of this, it might as well be 60 and I can sleep with my window open.
Moneyman
After this original band moves through, is there supposed to be more developing later this afternoon, or is it just gonna be light snow?
ksstormhunter
Hahaha, I wish I do think we'll get more than the 1-3" the NWS is calling for. Hmmm really that is all they are going for. Showing High Confidence is more snow than that, you have two shots at this the one now, and another one starting 21st at 23Z to 22Feb at 12Z. Guess will see which one of us wins out then. Thanks. Nelson
Andy, what's it doing in sheboygan? Money - we have mod to heavy snow. Just measured and we're approaching 3" - snow started sometime between 10:30 and 11:30. Winds are starting to kick up a bit. Congrats on the thunder. Moneyman
Andy we should have 2-3 more hrs of good snows, and then we get a break. Who knows how long that break is going to last. MKE saying 1-3/2-4 for tommorow yet, so we should approach 6-7 inches easily.

MKE saying 1-3/2-4 for tommorow yet, so we should approach 6-7 inches easily. I think the Milwaukee area will overperform. On the WWA bulletin, it indicates 1-3 inches of snow. We already have at least an inch, with more coming before it changes over to freezing rain/rain, then probably another couple inches overnight and early tomorrow. We should have steady precip for about another 3 hours here.

Moneyman
kss, how long does your model have the dryslot or the break in the precip in S. WI?
cyclone77
In the dry slot here. Have just under an inch of rain for the event. Hopefully we can get a band of thunderstorms to sweep through later. We've warmed up to 40, but don't think we'll get as warm as I hoped yesterday. ksstormhunter
kss, how long does your model have the dryslot or the break in the precip in S. WI? Just did a quick 20Z run, I think the timing is a bit off, but showing a 4 hour gab of no precip from 09Z-13Z, think this would be sooner then brings the snow back in with a couple of good shots of snow 14-18Z on the 21st and 6-9Z on the 22nd. sc2man13
Just measured outside. 3.5 inches on the ground and still coming. Snow started around 12:30, and it has been dumping the whole time. I love Michigan!

wisconsinwx
Looking at the TWC radar, we are hanging onto the snow just north of I94 by the skin of our teeth. 94 is basically the dividing line between rain and snow, and has been much of the day. Very thin area of mix in between.
