MaineJayhawk
Congrats--an over-performer. Actually, no. Not yet anyway. My forecast had half inch overnight and another half inch this morning. GYX was money.

moneypitmike
Any reports out of Keene? Have they/will they be getting anything? I suspect they can't be any worse than it is here. Heavy, heavy flurry.
bmj16725
Just over 1" as of 6:30 with light snow falling. 27 F.
HIPPYVALLEY
Maybe .5" with just a flake here and there. Radar looks meager for the RT 2 corridor. It's always a bit frustrating to bust on the low side when your forecast was only for 1"-2" to begin with.
grinch1989
2" , doubt i make 3" based on radar...verification yes, but talk about lack luster after the jan we had...
HIPPYVALLEY
Being a vacation week I'm sure the NNE ski areas are looking at the NYC radar and shaking their heads saying "why not us"?

Mr Torchey
What a very narrow band of mod to heavy snow stretching across northern new jersey across the metro into extreme sw ct to bdr and then barely scraping the ct coast to the east. mod snow

weatherMA
7:15am: measured 1.4" here. When I went back to bad at 4:15 am we had .8" so that means .6 in the past 3 hours for a rate of .2/hour.
mahk_webstah
looks like great radar returns around Boston. What's happenin down there?

nzucker
What a very narrow band of mod to heavy snow stretching across northern new jersey across the metro into extreme sw ct to bdr and then barely scraping the ct coast to the east. mod snow 27 Yeah I've been in that band for a while and have over 6" new snow. It's an incredibly tight gradient as I doubt JFK gets more than 4" for the entire event. Here are a couple pics from about 20 minutes ago:

nzucker
Wow, nice pics Nate. Congrats. Thanks. We'll probably finish up with about 8" here, well more than expected. I was thinking 4-6" but the high ratios really helped it pile up. I bet snow depth is down to like 4" tomorrow night. SN at 27/26...
mattb65
idk how in the world im gonna get to class Seriously....? This snow is probably hardly sticking on the highway at all since it's such light water content. Driving on the snow is fun.
Tropopause_Fold
relatively speaking there seems to be a nice area of persistent returns NW of BOS up near KGAY.
mattb65
looks like great radar returns around Boston. What's happenin down there? Snow is light here but big flakes, not much accumulations, but I'm happy to have the snow in the air Edit: those 24 dbz bands bring mod snow that actually accumulates decently - maybe I end up with 2 inches here but we're around 0.75" so far here. Mr Torchey
730 3.5 new had 2.4 at 620 so right at an inch an hour right now. 27 mod snow
moneypitmike
Nice! Looks about the same here except with 4.5" less Snowing lightly here, but some really good flakes are 1) making it look harder and 2) adding to my .25". I might surge past .5" from this.
