H2Otown_WX
I have a little fetish for that...lol. I guess it's all types of exciting weather, but I secretly enjoyed those floods in March, from a met standpoint. It was too warm for snow, so at least we got something out of it. I can understand why Will was pissed off, however. He was so close to a wet snow bomb..lol. I have a secret rain fetish in warm season too. I guess it's because I have a rain gauge. Bostonseminole
Me thinks many people are not cut out for New England weather, hear lots of baby whining about cold, snow wind everywhere today and yesterday. I hope March is just brutal belly to belly, people need to toughen up and stop being such sallies. Soft nation perhaps the reason it is all going down the crapper. it was cold. powderfreak
I ran soundings for NCt, all solidly under 0 I was just looking at partial thicknesses... its a moot point but definitely a mix in southern, SNE on the 12z GFS. Even on the basic panels the H85 line is halfway up CT.
CoastalWx
This isn't bad. I understand lift is meh, but lift ain't everything. You can have all the lift in the world occur in a dryslot, and it doesn't mean shiat. Deeply saturated soundings on the GFS fwiw. I like seeing that. powderfreak
I hope we all get the message that there are always 2 sides to every story....needs to be less dismissing and quabbling and more integration of thoughts and ideas......more often than not, some will verify better than others, but value can be derived from some aspects of everyone's thoughts and ideas....we're seeing that play out again. +1 man. Well said. I hate the squashing of ideas on here when its something people don't want to hear.

Meh...when I was 10 years old the "grownups" sounded the same way. It's the human condition. As much as I love it, I don't think I'll be residing in the cold climate more than another 5-7 years...maybe less. As we age, warmer is better for longevity. 40/70 Benchmark
+1 man. Well said. I hate the squashing of ideas on here when its something people don't want to hear. That 6 hr bomb was a great illustration of this: I was going gung-ho on one heavy event because of the mid level deformation and ens agreement....Messenger caught the split system and suggested it was a brush.......in the end, we got crushed with the 2nd system..we DID get crushed and it WAS splitt, two part deal. Everyone has their strengths and fetishes and they should all be incorportated into our search for the final outcome.
Ginx snewx
Bethel Maine built an ice tower for people to climb. High winds knocked it over last night. Also 160 people were evacuated when a bearing broke on a chairlift at SR at South Ridge.

Meh,people in Fla do not live any longer than people in New England. But I agree with you cold and very old not good for some. Siberia does have some pretty old folks and so does the Arctic Circle, my point was the incessant whining especially from the young folks I heard. Went to Grandmas for an early sausage and peppers dinner, came home and could not believe how fast this precip is flying in here. I think we start over here around 10pm, poor Kevin will miss the entire event sleeping, waa always gets in early and leaves early, should rock between 1-4. weatherMA
Final call IMBY: 2-4", might be too optomistic, but we'll see. Anyone know why BOX hasn't put out a map? They even put a map for the 1-3" of wet snow on Feb 8 when they didn't even have advisories up.

ski MRG
19/4, calm, looks like a 3-5" snowfall here tonight/tomorrow. That'll put me around 2 feet for the month of February so far. Another great day of Winter sports. Skiing was firm and fast, ice fishing was slow until late afternoon when the hits started coming, 1 brown, 1 rainbow. My friend took a nice Salmon just as I was leaving. They're probably still out there as they had all the night gear with them and the action was happening.
