cpickett79
Does anyone agree with the W/E gradient on BOX's map? It has around 3" IMBY down to a half inch in Boston? Also 2"for Kevin while sw NH sees 4"...seems off... yes i do...FOR FEB 8'th LOL
CoastalWx
Don't know why people are depressed, as I Always thought this would be a 2-4 event, maybe more if things came together. I still have 14"-15" on the ground, and the 12" Consecutive Day Snowpack record is now in reach, 14 days away. I'm doing well here, even though it's going to take a few 12" storms to get the yard to look like it did. TIME TO WATCH THE DAYTONA 500!!!! I can't believe they changed the point system. What a bunch of Southern Buffoons. It was the best point system in All of sports (with point systems) in my opinion. The greatest thing NASCAR ever gave to sports. And now, they get rid of it because "it was too confusing for dumb f*^& people". I can't believe people watch NASCAR.

Its tough to watch on TV, I will give you that, however, go to a race camp out in the infield for the weekend, biggest party you will ever see or enjoy, plus the non stop titeeee shots! Seriously though, its one hell of a party

cpickett79
what high bust potential on this forecast......it all hinges on the polar vortex and how far S it's influence of confluence is. How do models typically do.(bias?)...regarding confluence....judging by LAST YEAR they UNDER Forecasted it's effects.....and kept pushing the precip south. But i don't know wether that was do to a shift in the vortex or it just having a further extended influence then models had thought.

They usually overplay the confluence and PV which is one of the main reason why things almost always trend north

Mr Torchey
Have to give credit to JB, he said 2-4 for nyc 6 days out, looking like a decent call, and to Joe Lundberg, he said this thing would track south of new england and it looks like he was right. CoastalWx
Well we'll have to watch those returns moving east. Euro still has a nice area of RH and weak lift moving into the area. Best lift is sw, but maybe we can get into the leading edge of good lift, that these things sometimes have.
HarveyLeonardFan
my mom and step dad are at the 500 today but i really dont see the point of watching cars go around a circle or oval or whatever they do Most southern states don't have the Yankees or the Red Sox to follow.
