weatherMA
When the torch started there was about 26-28" of snow left. Heres a pic of peak depth on my deck and out the front of my house, then a pic of today. It goes from 32-33" to 15" left today.
michsnowfreak
I like using the neighborhood shot as a comparison. Torches are sickening, and its a thousand times worse watching deep snow melt away versus if there was only a little snow on the ground. The torch was brutal here....wiped out our snowpack completely, but of course we didnt have as much as you to start with. Still, up to today we had snowcover all winter since early December (with the exception of a brief bare period Jan 1-4th). Considering we average about 50 days per winter with 1"+ snowcover and are already at 64 days with lots of time to go, cant complain. But still, not only does it look SO weird to look out and see bare ground, but the grass is all matted down and has snow mold on it. Lots of piles left, but even those are greatly reduced, ESPECIALLY on the sunny side of the street (like where I live). This torch torched away a foot+ of snowpack from Milwaukee/Chicago on over to Detroit. It even left Minneapolis almost bare. Luckily a winter storm looms for Sunday afternoon, thus only leaving us with a few days of bare ground.

HarveyLeonardFan
The post torch snow-depth in Worcester is still more snow than I've had on the ground at any point this winter.
