Numerical Model Web Links

I rewrote some of the code for my web site in order to give my web site a simpler look. I know you guys like looking at numerical weather models and also historical weather information. I have a very good lists of links to web sites on these things, plus some original historical storm information.

No, actually I deleted that, and I didn't know if anybody used it. I still have the HTML file, so I can send it to you if you want. I always felt a bit weird about that web page because anybody can get the exact same thing from the Plymouth State University model web site--it's Plymouth's system that creates the plots. I have been using mainly the Penn State E-Wall and Allan's page to look at the ECMWF.

Um that is odd since it still works on my end--and a few others can still use it. Either way--I like the color schemes and sizes you chose so I used it all the time.

Ya I just liked it because I didn't have to go through and set up the maps every night, and the plymouth state site has the euro as fast as the pay sites.

Ta Da! It is back

http://www.greatlakes.salsite.com/ECMWF_plots.html

I deleted the Europe view plots until further notice because of some problem with the LAT/LON system on the Plymouth State web page. (I had noticed problems with that for a while). I figure most of us just want to look at North America anyway.

It is over 100 Kilobytes of mostly text . No fancy stuff, it just takes something like 150 characters of text to do an input for each Plymouth State plot.

Wait, that's your site? Have been using that for a long time... great work.

Fantastic. Can you put the UKMET Plymouth page up again too? I used that just because it's easier.

The UKMET is now at

http://www.greatlakes.salsite.com/UKMET_plots.html

I personally went over to using the Penn State E-Wall maps, such as

http://www.meteo.psu.edu/~gadomski/UKMET_12z/uk06.html

or

http://www.meteo.psu.edu/~gadomski/UKHEMI_0z/ukloop.html

I also use College of Dupage. I actually haven't used the UK much for some time now because most of the plots go to 3 days. If I need to pull out the UKMET to have hope of a snowstorm in the Rocky Mountains within 3 days, then, maybe there isn't that much hope.

I only use Plymouth's page because it's a lot faster with 12/0z UKMET runs, which can come in handy at times
