Boy, the NWS was really caught like deer in the headlights with this storm. I don't know what they were thinking... we've been discussing here for three days. I still think even the 4-8" forecast is too low, considering I'm already hearing totals at the top of that range with several more hours of moderate to heavy snow in these areas.

This is almost as bad as the storm at the beginning of the month that dumped 8-10 inches here in Toledo, when the forecasts weren't calling for half that much.

Groundhog's day? Yeah... I remember that. Forecast called for 4-6 storm total when I had already had 4" of overrunning... then added another 4.5" the following night.

Local forecasters did somewhat better then the Feb. 5th storm... they called for 1-2" that morning and we got 5.5". This time they were going with 2-4" and we ended up with 6" give or take a 1/4". Still could pick up another 1/2" or so with that wrap around in towards Hillsdale/Monroe.

Wow...6" in Toledo? Theres another gradient! Part 1 of this storm DTW saw 10.1" and TOL saw 0.9"...part 2 its the oppositte! Nothing meaningful here yet though looking at radar we may talk a little bit onto our fresh deep snow :)

Wow congrats. Same thing here yesterday, forecast 1-3 (+ ice) ended up with 10+, just a little sleet. The public was shell-shocked, and Im sure the same will be said around you.

Lol...what I don't get is all the models picked up on this yesterday...there wasn't even an advisory this morning...an advisory this morning would have at least got the word out.

Hmm...maybe the DTX guys get a LITTLE more slack than PIT then lol. They did have a warning in place, but were harping on ice, and snow not being a big issue. They called for the snow to turn to freezing after 1-3" but cold air aloft won the battle and it never did (just a brief negligible mix). DTW was reporting thundersnow with 0.06 mile visibility at 7pm last night when it already was supposed to be glazing lol. But if PIT just flat out had no advisory or hwo in place when signs were pointing to it..:gun_bandana:

Congrats southern counties. Heavy returns on the radar down there. Meh snowfall here. Snowed hard for 30 minutes then back to light stuff, barely. Over an inch so far. One more inch and my call with bust.

Another Dud! Sandwiched between two 6-10" storms. Looks like a wind blown 1-2" will do it here. The never ending winter of perpetual light snows and near misses.

Who was for maybe 2 inches. This happened with our locals feb5-6 last year. 6 pm news they were saying 3-6, with about 5 on the ground and 16 hours of snow left. Ended up with 22 inches. Nws did do great on that one, but the locals got a lot of people stuck out that night.

Either way congrats. So u are south of TOL, did you get bad ice last night?

We had about 8 hours of freezing rain... but with temperatures hovering just below freezing (31.9* for almost 12 hours straight during the day/night) it didn't accumulate too much on roads. It refroze this morning and was covered in 6" of snow though... so roads aren't in good shape right now.

That storm sure made a quick exit from Ohio. Judging by the reports from the CLE PNS, which were mostly through 8-9 pm, the snow totals from the southern CWA weren't terribly excessive, 4-6" with a couple isolated higher amounts. A little bit of junk rolling off the lake here, about 2 inches.
