dbc
Rapid temp rises. Car thermo reading 66 I am not getting that up here outside my office in Jersey City at least it does not feel that way at all as I was just outside 5 minutes ago. It probably has to do with proximity to the water. Enjoy it on your end!

LocoAko
65F here in New Brunswick and I am loving it. Melt snow, melt! Reminds me of how much I love spring. We seem to be one of the warmest spots in the northern half of the state, already 6F above forecast, but who's complaining?

We seem to be one of the warmest spots in the northern half of the state, already 6F above forecast, but who's complaining? The scattered mid-50's in Hudson and Southern Bergen county as well as those readings just across the river justify what it felt like outside about 15 minutes ago when I was walking around Jersey City during lunch. Only the real spotty areas of snow are melting by the way. The huge snow piles barely show any melt going on.

Stormlover74
I'm guessing the snowpack is also playing a role. Right now EWR is 65 but TEB only 57, Caldwell/MMU 59, Newark is usually a couple degrees warmer but not
NorthShoreWx
Wow, that's nutty. I have nothing but piles left. Maybe an inch or two in shaded areas. Still 10" here. Posted photos from 1PM today...Pano to show better where the bare spots are: http://www.americanwx.com/bb/index.php?/topic/13314-snowpack-vs-torch/page__view__findpost__p__477328

NorthShoreWx
It's weird that it feels so warm out and there's snow on the ground. Most lawns without full all day sun exposure have snow on them. The woods around here also had snowcover as of this morning. Reminds me of Feb 1994 a week or so after the dual overunning snowfalls. LocoAko
Up to 66F here in New Brunswick - 7F above our original forecast high. Run at 70F tomorrow? And yes, this warmth with snow still on the ground is a cool, but strange, sight.
