I will be very surprised if I don't lose power at some point today. The gutter is still hanging on the power lines to the house and with the strong winds and the power lines swaying and more tension being applied onto the wires it's just a matter of time before they snap away from the house.

I love days like this..Bitter cold..snow squalls every now and then..and fitful bursts of wind that come in packs

I love it as long as I don't have to walk outside in it...I have trouble walking in this.

Going to be lots of fun at the hockey game outside tonight...heading to the Rent. around 2:00 PM.

Pretty dull high wind event. Nothing overly impressive.

I don't know, there are some pretty impressive observations out there.

Pittsfield, MA gusted over 50mph for 3 straight hours... the 10:54am observation is quite impressive: 38mph sustained, gusting 59mph

ALB has been consistently gusting 40-50mph all day long (very impressive for the Hudson Valley).

Those are just a couple, and maybe ALY's CWA had worse winds that BOX's, but consistent gusts at a lot of the ASOS stations of 40-60mph all afternoon is pretty solid wind.

Here in CT damage was pretty minimal. Occasional gusts to advisory criteria. The Berkshires definitely did better.
