weathafella
They're not very big, though. I encountered a big oppossum walking across a field yesterday. Guess it awakened from its hibernation in response to the torch. It sure wasn't finding much food in a snow covered field. Those and raccoons are very common in urban areas and I've had them curl up in containers on my deck. Raccoons are nasty animals.
moneypitmike
Yeah they are. They are pretty long. I hear them shrieking occasioanlly during my morning runs and it's frightening. It scares the crap out of me. They must have a home in the woods around here. Not looking good for those of us that wanted it to stay cloudy today Guess what you're considering big. Males 8-11 lbs, females 4-6 lbs per Wikipedia. Agree on the clouds. Was looking at the full moon set behind a thick haze. Certainly not clear, but hardly anything that will prevent some strong solar radiation from wreaking havoc.
Tropopause_Fold
Yeah, the euro is definitely not over the Delmarva..lol. lol...yeah i did a double take and actually went back and verified with other products. the 00z euro is pretty funny it shows one of those rare situations where it is actually plain -RN for kev and probably still hanging on as -SN for me midday monday. free_man
Looks like a typical 1-3" type deal, maybe less for CT. Hopefully the rain at the end doesn't wash away whatever falls.

Will said sleet taint eh...the precip is so light it doesn't matter...and it's still 4 days out anyway. ll temps could very well be too warm here too. that run is mild over CT...just the way that one shook out. CoastalWx
So the Euro is all rain? LOL, you'll get front end snow, then maybe IP/ZR. Maybe an inch or two for you, on this run. Ensembles were a little colder. The whole thing is still kind of fluid, so don't worry yet.

As you say...situations is fluid. The whole two wave thing is always suspicious, but that second one may be something to watch. I suppose it's not out of the question for the first wave to be north, but the second wave delivers. It's either that, or the first wave is south, and the second wave is suppressed. I don't really see us getting nailed by both. Basically one or the other..I think.
