Hoosier
With the tornado in Madison county, Indiana has recorded its first tornado of 2011. Other years since 1950 with January or February tornadoes are: 1956 1959 1963 1965 1967 1971 1975 1976 1989 1992 1996 2000 2006 2008 2009 13 out of those 15 years have something in common. This may be inaccurate, but I always think of you guys way up there having two halves of winter separated by a large intermission. Phase one late Oct-mid Dec, then everything crushed to your SE through the heart of the winter, then phase two from early March through early May. Yeah pretty much, Feb is always the driest month up here. Although we can get good snows during the dry months as well but not as common. March can deliver the goods though as can April.
