snowstormcanuck
Local meteorologists here are riding the GFS... Not surprising. One of the local on air mets here ONLY looks at the GFS. And people wonder why his forecasts are ****.
daddylonglegs
I noticed some good avatars...its time to update. Goknights- Its tough... Its nice that it has been consistent to some extent. Hope the euro comes around.
kab2791
I start wondering when these forums are going to start looking like a swimsuit issue I noticed some good avatars...its time to update. snowstormcanuck
Hah...I remember watching the weather forecasts from Toronto when I lived in Muskoka... Hey I thought your SN was familiar but I couldn't make the connection between Muskoka and Muskegon. Why'd you make the move? Want to live in every town in North America that starts with Musk? Moneyman
0z GFS 0c line is about 40 or 50 miles south then 18z. Looks to go farther south then 18z.

Want to live in every town in North America that starts with Musk? Haha! I have thought about that...pretty ironic. I actually want to live in all towns in North America that start with "Musk" and get decent Lake Effect snows...I moved to Muskoka from PA and worked at a camp there for two years teaching Outdoor Education. I moved back to the states so I could start teaching in a school setting. Although we get lots of snow here, it still doesn't compare to the feet upon feet of Lake effect that Muskoka gets. That place is a true winter wonderland. All the staff at camp thought I was crazy when I got excited to shovel snow in the middle of April after a winter of 280 inches of snow! Moneyman
Slower and stronger as well. HR 123 has a 992 low in E. NE while 18z at 129 had a 996 low in W. IA.
Chicago Storm
The only redeemable quality of Respiratory Guy was his avatar of that girl with the ass you could bounce a dime off of. That pic trumps Chicago_Storm's and Cyclone's. It's back.
panhandlehook
The 0z GFS has the low in pretty much the same area it has been on previous runs (passing over WI/IL border). Probably no snow south of Green Bay.
daddylonglegs
Panhandle=Saukville? Lets keep this thing rain boys! Daddy needs a car wash. I need some of those avatar girls to come over and give my Ford a rub down.
goknights
I think it is safe to say that a lack of moisture is not an issue at this point.

Yeah, there are a lot worse places for snow than Muskegon. Better amenities too I'd imagine. Muskoka is the sticks.

snowstormcanuck
GFS trended colder as expected. Suppression is still my biggest concern.

Stevo6899
GFS trended colder as expected. Suppression is still my biggest concern. The fact that the low travels due east would support that idea I think.

Probably no snow south of Green Bay. The 850 and surface 32 line looks to get to near Oshkosh. North of there is probably all snow. Almost runs right over me, while the 18z was MUCH farther north with it.
snowstormcanuck
The fact that the low travels due east would support that idea I think. It's a risk we're running, but it's not a predestined fact. There's also a good chance we get a decent snow/ice storm out of this.

Moneyman
Low travels right through MKE, I doubt you guys receive any snow on the GFS this run. OSH-GB get 1.25-1.5 QPF all snow though.

Thundersnow12
Someone start working on bringing that D8-9 storm south. big differences between this run and the 12z run. look at difference in the trof out west at D7-D8. this could be the first decent severe wx maker if everything plays out.
