Mr Torchey
Best videotaped landing of all time in heavy winds...2 minutes in. East asia airport. Hong Kong is an absolutely breathtaking and treacherous landing. Great stuff.

Clinch Leatherwood
foreign carriers seem to have lower safety standards than US ones. BA or Air Canada will attempt a landing in near 35 kt cross winds that AA or US never would. Hong Kong is an absolutely breathtaking and treacherous landing. Great stuff. they have a new airport now...beautiful, but no drama. Yeah Hong Kong opened up the new one not all that long ago. Takes all the fun out of it. The Luftansha landing I love....wing strike and all. Pretty sure I'd sh*t myself if I was on a plane that scraped a wing AND then took back off. You'd think at about 500 ft, they'd just pull it up and go to another airport.

Damage In Tolland
Just watched JB's Big Dog--says the Tue storm will likely miss Boston to the south--gives 2-4 call for NYC Lundberg violently disagrees The storm will then slide more east than northeast on Monday, owing to the big storm off the Northeast Coast. This translates to a chance of snow and ice Monday and Monday night into Tuesday across portions of Michigan and even the northern Ohio Valley eastward into Pennsylvania, New York, and New England. Brian5671
The ultimate solution could be a mix of Lundberg's and JB's track--perhaps best QPF b/w Trention and Boston.... I think our biggest concern is the storm dampening out too much by the time it gets here so that there's minimal QPF. Lundberg also mentions a lake cutter later next week....<IMG class=bbc_emoticon alt= src="http://img.amwx.us/public/style_emoticons/default/gun_bandana.gif">
